Destiny is a dungeon crawler style game, in that game style, farming is what you do. Leave the cave alone.

farming is fine, I'm not at all against farming in general. Farming level 5 enemies for level 20 legendary/exotic gear is less ok. Especially a non-stop swarm of them, it's free experience and gear, and there's little of a chance that Bungie meant for people to get easy gear just for shooting enemies for hours. It would be less of a problem if the enemies weren't level 5.

While that us true, the chance of getting a legendary drop and having actually turn out to be one is slim.

It doesn't bother me *muc,h* but it's making others really mad, so I'm just waiting for Bungie to tell us if it was meant to be the way it is. It's annoying that the cave is one of like 3 topic in the forums. I don't really care *much* weather it stays or not. (the others being nerfing and chat).
