No. Africa has received aid in the form of food, clothes, fresh water, money, and other resources for years, yet the people there don't put it to good use.
Sure, it's kind of Europe's and America's fault that there in that mess, but they're the ones who choose not to come together to fix their damn continent. The people who screwed Africa over all those years ago are long dead. No one alive to day is responsible for, nor are they obligated to help with, Africa's problems. Africans are the ones living there, so it's their problem, not ours.

BEGINNING TRANSMISSION: (Low melodious hum.) How could one fix without tools? Only a small percentage of donations actually go towards their efforts. With all that is going on in Africa, it is very ignorant to say they are not trying hard enough. ENDING TRANSMISSION:

They have tools. They have educated people there as well. The fact that nothing's changed or progressed much in years goes to show that they aren't trying hard enough. Great nations rose because the people chose to come together and do something about their crappy living conditions. The majority of Africans don't seem to care much about changing anything.

BEGINNING TRANSMISSION: (Low melodious hum.) If only you knew how wrong you are. There is no longer a point to this conversation. ENDING TRANSMISSION:

Well we have to apply the "teach a man to fish" logic. It's not necessarily fixing the issue if we give aid. Sure, it helps and I'm sure it is put to good use in many occasions, but teaching the native people to become self sufficient should be the unlimited goal.
