Everything can be used at any given time. Some people actually use things that are off-meta simply because they like them and are successful regardless. A big problem is that many players are so focused on winning at any cost (just ask those that cheat or pay for carries) they'll use the cheesiest, most overpowered things in the game to get that win. You want balance? Change the human condition. You want to be able to use whatever you want? That's so much easier............... [b]use whatever you want[/b]. It's a game, try playing for fun and you just might have it.

  • I do and will continue to use what I want. That doesn't mean i'm not putting myself at a severe disadvantage. I can understand not caring about winning or losing in 6s, but when i'm playing trials (pretty much the only crucible I play), i'm not there to lose. It's not the end of the world when I do, but i'm there to win. It's not fun playing against loadouts that are oppressive, regardless of how you want to spin it. Playing against three invis hunters right now is genuinely the most obnoxious thing that is in the game. It's not fun to play against, nor is it fair. Have you ever thought about this? Maybe some people have fun winning... What? It's crazy. Doing good and winning isn't everything, but when I have all the loot in the game that I want, it's pretty much the only reason I have left to keep playing. If i'm not having fun, I won't play, but that doesn't mean I don't want to play the game in a better state.

  • Three invisible Hunters are always oppressive; this is nothing new. Invisibility has been in the game for years. As far as winning goes, sure, it's great. Here's an idea for you to have a go of once you've gotten everything you want gear-wise. Try winning with things that are a challenge. Succeed, and you could very well get the upper hand against players because they're thrown off-balance by your unorthodox loadout. It could be fun............

  • Yes, which is why One of my main arguments is that I think invis shouldn't be in crucible, same with freezing or suspending. As for the unorthodox loadout comment, i've already done that. Khepris Horn was taken right from my head.

  • Okay, let's say Bungie removes those abilities from Crucible..........what's next? Surely you know once that Pandora's Box is opened people will demand other things get removed as well. If that's what you're going for, I've been suggesting pre-set loadouts for a loooooong time. It would certainly solve the nerf problem, which I'm betting plenty of people would be thrilled about; I know I would be. Khepri's Horn..........................wait a minute, Nerf Herder, is that you?

  • That's not me lmao I don't know what would become meta if those were removed right now, regardless of what they are, i'm sure that people would find something broken to use, and who knows how strong it would be. One thing that people don't realize, is that just because something has been in the game a long time with no one complaining about it, doesn't mean it isn't broken. Some things just don't get their time to shine for whatever reason that may be, but they could still be extremely over tuned. Like the whole stasis titan overshield business that happened and got collective action and whisper of rime nerfed.

  • The argument that something is broken could be made about multiple abilities; in fact, people do just that. Constantly. Should they all be removed and if so, what would the game be like? Not Destiny, that's for sure.

  • I think that freeze, suspend, and invis shouldn't be in crucible. Where did I say that I don't think abilities should be? Those are oppressive and annoying, and the main reason why I think they are such a big problem is because they are so hard to balance. How do you make them useful enough that they aren't useless, but also not overtuned? Abilities are what makes this game so unique (along side its PvE/PvE split and its fluid gameplay), i don't want them taken out of the game, but when something is consistently becoming a problem like those abilities have, I don't think it's worth keeping them in crucible. If we could find a way to make those things not opressive while also being not useless, that would be great, but bungie won't/can't.

  • I feel like you missed the part in one of my previous comments where I said that once some abilities are removed, players would demand that more are. "Slippery slope" is the expression.
