It's been a loooong time since I've read/watched 'Salem's Lot but I have a vague recollection of it. I didn't even know there was a prequel to it, truth be told. I think the last book by King that I read was either Cell or Dr. Sleep. The movie for Cell was decent enough, but I was a little underwhelmed by the Dr. Sleep movie. The again, adaptations of King's work more often than not tend to do that with me.

Salem’s Lot was my first King book and I was a kid so it scared the crap out of me lol. Danny Glick scratching at the window and the Barlow! Yeah super creepy at 11. Chapelwaite is a mansion in Jerusalems Lot which is mentioned in the play the kids put on in school in the beginning of Salems Lot. Midnight Mass is very cool as well and centers around a priest who has a small church on an island. I just hooked you up for Halloween for sure.

Never got around to reading The Skookie Stackhouse Novels they were based off of though.

I think the first Stephen King book I had a go at was 'Eyes of the Dragon,' maybe? But hell, that was in the sixth grade, something like 30-ish years and a lot of books ago, so I may not even be close on that. Yeesh, if I'd have known anything back then, I would've kept a list of everything I've read over the years.

King is where a lot of us started reading on our own as kids. Pet Cemetery is as so much better as a book but I still love the 80s cheese that the movie is. You get through those series and I can you a long list of movies abd series that are top shelf. Let me know what you think of the ones I suggested.

I'm actually getting ready to get a bite to eat (see what I did there, "bite?" waah,waah,waah 🙄) and start watching Midnight Mass for the evening, so I'll be sure to give you my 'expert' critique once I've finished it.
