I believe Bungie gives everyone slightly easier matches in pvp for the couple games after a brief hiatus. I've looked at the games I play after taking a short break of let's say a few days to a week.(I used to be a daily player) and the percentage that I was predicted to win was quite high a vast majority of the time. My buddy notices it as well. Kind of like bungie is trying to entice you back into your drug of choice by giving you a free sample. Thats basically why they introduced sbmm - to entice new players or old players that had put down pvp.
But I digress, I know that was a huge tangent on something you briefly mentioned, but have you considered that? Or perhaps the lack of stress made it easier to focus sorry, it was just bowl thirty for me lol.

It's a bit of both I think. I noticed when I took a week of a hiatus and did VOG I got Vex on my third run. Some said rng I am a consistent daily pvp player. Playing every day after work, I think what you are saying is true but I also took massive L's this week. I didn't actually consider it for the most part because I hadn't thought if it. The lack of stress however does help with improving. I don't feel stress about my elo or kd because I simply don't care. Not caring means I am not actively trying to conserve but more expend. So I take a bit more risk and see what plans work against certain weapons. Valid point and question however
