See but none of those games are constantly updated for new content. They have $30 dlcs sure, but those aren't live service games. In general, a $60 game has a lifespan of what, 1 year? And that's only if its replayable. Most games you play for a few weeks, beat them, and then never touch them again. And then there's a $30 dlc every 6 months for another year or two. So for 2-3 year of content you spend $180. That's the same I've spent on destiny for 5 years of content. Don't get me wrong, some games last for decades. I'm still playing skyrim and fallout 4, but that's because of modding, not because Bethesda made the perfect game. My point was, Bungie can't sell destiny for $60 and continually update it for free. They either need continual $30 expansions every 6 months, which everyone complained about because of content droughts, or they update it 4 times a year for $10. And sure there are mtx in there as well. Since seemingly neither of those are favorable to you, my question is still, what would you like them to do? It seems you want content for free, which, unfortunately, will never be an option.
Agsin, I’ll refer to Warframe which is a Live Service Game, Digital Extremes only has 1 stream of Income (MTX) and they pump out Content no problem. So my question is, why can’t Bungie adopt their Model? Have MTX and having all Expansions free and create Content that way. I guarantee you more people would buy more from Eververse enough to make up what they lose in revenue from DLC Expansions. Warframe does this Model perfectly. Bungie can as well. People have gotten too used to Developers double dipping into our wallets by having two streams of income (Game/Expansions AND MTX.) Developers need to have one stream of income to choose, then stick with it.
