Yeah, they need guns, but do they really need assault rifles. I'm all for guns, I'll probably eventually get one because I enjoy firing at paper targets at a range, but I really think there should be magazine size restrictions, and that semi and fully auto weapons are a bit unnecessary.

There are mag restriction sizes depending on the state. My state of Ohio has some of the loosest gun control in the country, but we still have a mag size limit of 30 rounds.

There's a reason that LEO stopped carrying revolvers
... The public has no access to assault weapons, nor fully automatic weapons...
not included in the DLC

Actually one can buy full auto with a class 3 federal license. The weapon must be before 1984 or 1986 (don't remember which). Lots of paperwork, fees and time to get one. Goodluck finding a dealer that sells the weapons too.

Just being a bit over dramatic, Though I do think that we should have to do a manual action to fire, like bolt or lever action or having to -blam!- a pistol.
-
How are we supposed to defend ourselves from attackers then?
-
With guns that fire slower.
-
Yeah but criminals aren't gonna have slower firing guns and neither will the military
-
What does the military have to do with this? And yeah, criminals own illegal stuff, the knives that cause un-stitchable wounds are out there despite being illegal, so that means there will be more powerful weapons out there too, but making them harder to access would keep Less people injured in mass shootings. I'm over this topic and am going to stop responding to all the I want to fire 10 bullets per second crowd.
-
But I like my guns the way they are that's the thing. And the military and government have everything to do with this. The founding fathers gave us the right to bear arms so that we could defend ourselves from criminals but also a tyrannical government.

The 1700’s were a different time though. Your country was just getting started so of course you’d want a firearm back then if things went south. Guns back then we’re also much less deadly than they are now, only able to hold 1 shot at a time & took forever to reload. Now your military has tanks, fighter jets & nukes, so there’s no way you’ll be able to hold them off with a simple firearm & guns themselves have become more advanced & easier to use, increasing their destructive potential. While the laws made sense for the time, considering how much the world has changed along with guns themselves, I personally think it’s for the best if you guys update your laws to account for those who want to create the most damage possible.
-
I see your reasoning but there have been some relatively recent (like 10-20 years) events that can prove that wrong. Such as this one ranch that I can't remember the name of. Anyway the FBI wanted to raid it but the owner and a small militia of people held them at a standstill until the FBI backed down. If not to fight and win against the military at least to be a potential threat and force them to back down so that they don't want bloodshed.
-
Realistically though, how often would that happen to warrant the relative ease of access of weapons that can take a life in an instant. I'm not saying ban all guns, but with all the massacres & incidents of kids finding guns in their parents' closet, there needs to be a serious overhaul of the current system.
-
Editado por Banned Moment: 8/29/2019 1:03:05 AMI would have to disagree with you because it's still a possibility and as long as there's a possibility of the government trying to take my rights I want my guns to back my rights. And it's not very often that a kid finds their parents guns in their closet and even if they do they didn't take safety precautions to have it locked up right.

Yes let me just taks a few seconds to reload my rifle because I missed this.... *gets mauled to death by a bear* *gets stabbed with a knife* *gets shot by someone else*
-
Wouldn't have died if they didnt miss.
-
Semi-automatic compared to lever action, pump action and bolt action can be the difference between life and death. Also, theres no way everyone with a permit to conceal and carry is going to haul a trench coat and a bolt action rifle every where.
-
And that’s why you can be younger and by a rifle before you can buy a pistol, because it’s harder to conceal a rifle than it is a pistol
-
Did I say only rifles should be legal? And having to fire at semi auto is unnecessary 90% of the time as well as making it easier for the crazies to be more lethal during a mass shooting.
-
I can get why people would think that about fully automatic rifles, never thought someone would think that about semi-automatic
-
Semi auto weapons are still exponentially more dangerous than manually fired weapons.
-
All weapons are fired manually, my dude.
