Yeah, the forums make a small part of the entire community. Not everyone has the app, or Twitter, Reddit, etc. Important info like this should be made more transparent and accessible, within a reasonable timeframe. Have it so once you're done downloading the patch and start up the game, have those banners that appear for IB and events appear with Patch Notes. Something like that.
