* Display the patch notes while we're installing a patch so that you can read them while installing.
* Add a new button to the director in orbit called "news" - this should pop up a menu allowing you to browse / read anything posted under "news" on bungie.net (including the patch notes). Any upcoming maintenance should also be displayed here with time / date stamp.
* Make the news-button flash when there is something new there that you haven't seen yet.
Thank you.

41 Respuestas
* Display the patch notes while we're installing a patch so that you can read them while installing.
You can't access the app while downloading a patch so unfortunately this wouldn't work. As far as being able to view news in the game after an update, it would be a nice feature, and is definitely an idea to consider for the future. Right now the companion app and Bungie.net is your best source for news, patch notes, and upcoming maintenance alerts. If you do not have a computer or mobile device, you can use your consoles browser to access these articles. We have even recently obtained the ability to push out links to the Xbox Hub that will automatically open into your consoles browser, so look for those as well. Thanks for the feedback.

15 RespuestasEditado por KannibalKlown: 10/20/2016 2:32:07 PMPeople don't read the 2 sentences describing how Memory of Felwinter removes their super and gives them extra melee+grenade charges. And then freak out on the forums that the game is broken because they lost their super and instead of 2 melee+grenade charges. Do you really expect them to read what would be PAGES of text on their monitor? Most people are just trained to click the cancel/skip/close button when walls of text appear in a game. This would be no different. If you're the kind of person that cares about said info, you'll go to the website. If you're not the kind of person that cares, then you'll just auto-close that window out of reflex.

1 RespuestaEditado por Tomoyo-CCS: 10/20/2016 11:27:36 PMit would be nice but~ people would still press x to get past it and then rage in forums about not knowing stuff. at least thats how it works in most mmo games.

21 RespuestasAgreed I do not understand why most of the players base communication is done through twitch, twitter, and other third party outlets. Why not use the game to communicate with gamers.

Editado por Unforgiven: 10/21/2016 3:51:25 AMBump! Look at how Warframe does it.
-
The Division does this, and does it well. Considering the player base that plays(ed) both games, it would certainly be welcome. Yes, Bungie. We want YOU to do something another Dev Team did for another game, and do it for Destiny. I guess that'll never sit well with any Developer ever. "Hey your game is great....BUT..........this thing this other game did, is better. Can you see to it that you do that for us? k.thx.bye"

2 RespuestasYeah, the forums make a small part of the entire community. Not everyone has the app, or Twitter, Reddit, etc. Important info like this should be made more transparent and accessible, within a reasonable timeframe. Have it so once you're done downloading the patch and start up the game, have those banners that appear for IB and events appear with Patch Notes. Something like that.

12 RespuestasNO.... its bad enough there wasnt an emergency patch locking the light lvl of anyone who spammed thier stuff to early to 390 its shamefull for an mmo to have max lvl players who dont read the patch notes if you dont read the patch notes online when your console is installing then you dont desreve to be max light and bungie shouldnt make it so its easier on noobs to be noobs .
-
Or you can read them like we have been for 3 years now... They give us like a weeks notice before patches are coming out anyway.

7 RespuestasGreat idea...too bad bungo didnt think of this and many other basic features that other games have. I would believe bungo made such a basic shooter IF this was their first game. It is sooo not!
-
This would be amazing! If any of you are familiar with Defiance on X360, they had this. Install updates had EVERYTHING. Dev notes and comments and other fixes. Very lengthy but hey, it was all there.
-QA Test Engineer (a.k.a. AR IS4 NUBS)
Bungie are too lazy to do this, in warframe for example last night while in my ship I walked over and clicked from a news console menu a link that brought me straight to a Dev stream that just went live. Bungie could but don't really give a damn.

1 RespuestaOur consoles have browsers... You know that little tab on lower left corner with version#? Insert hyperlink to open browser and take us right to patch notes. Seems easy enough...
-
read them instead of watching the progress bar

Editado por Wagsman1: 10/21/2016 10:11:17 AMThis is a reasonable request, and I think it would alleviate some of the issues people have. A simple link to this site that a player could click in game, open your console's browser, and send you directly to the patch notes or news right here on this site. Also everyone should realize that the earliest you could expect something like this request is when D2 drops.

Bump - a page displaying patch notes while downloading would be great.

2 RespuestasBattleborn has the patch notes pop up at the main game screen seriously bungo get with the times

5 RespuestasThat would be too warframe. They already copied the majority of stuff from them, but hell, warframe got it right.
