Yup. After about 3 weeks with TTK I started disliking year 2 already. The grind is horrendous and playing dozens of hours just to get 1 light higher (without actually changing your light) is stupid and get the hell out of here with "respecting players time more" garbage. That's a lie.
Other issues:
1. Strike list is pathetically small and 3 of them you may as well skip over and you've already done them 100 times so it's boring.
2. Enemies really aren't different than year 1. There is actually no new mechanic or strategy required to kill them, just point and dump bullets in.
3. Nightfall is pointless.
4. Dailies and weeklies are pointless with the new structure and grinding rep is even worse than before.
5. Exotics are weak in year 2. Other than a couple notable (usually the most grind time needed to acquire) they are uninspired and don't feel exotic...a bunch are just variations on auto-reloading.
6. End game falls apart quickly. Over 300 light there is nothing to do but a single raid and Trails (if you PVP). Legendary rewards for both are mostly garbage and are used by most people as infusion fodder.
7. Cosmetic only events and microtransactions killed it for me too. I know you don't have to buy them, but they are stupidly over priced, the sparrow book was BS too. It's your money and you do what you want with it, but paying money to then have to grind and grind and grind some more to maybe get rewards you can use is crazy to me.
8. Lack of useful content. Said they stretched themselves to thin in year 1 and then did it again (only worse). Cosmetic events, challenge modes and year 1 weapons ARE NOT NEW CONTENT. They are the same content modified or just thinly veiled justifications to go grind the same small pool of content some more.
If this is the direction the game is moving towards permanently and they learn very little with #2 then screw this franchise. Also IF Destiny 2 goes subscription based (like some of the rumors floating around) screw this franchise. They have NOT done a good enough job with the execution of this game to justify it.

What turned me off is there is so many issues with lag and they go and make the taken basically an enemy that just lags around the map, but they say it's teleporting. And you can barely see any detail of the taken
-
They will tell you everything you want to hear for the next game, dlc or whatever they bring out. You will buy it thinking that they have learned and listened to the community only to find out that its more of the same. They know this and you know this and its exactly why they can and will continue to get away with doing whatever they want to the community and to Destiny.
-
Nope. I'm waiting in actual reviews. If it's sweeping high ratings from critics and users I'll consider it. Im not buy up all their microtransaction crap either. If there is any truth to the rumour that they are going subscription I'm definitely out. Games not worth a monthly fee to grind almost no content.
-
Reviews aren't always the best indication. Loads of sites try to push a review out as quick as possible, they never spend more than a day in end game stuff before they rate it. For example TTK got loads of good reviews, because all of the worst decisions take a while to notice or happened after it's launch.
-
If you take all reviews and compile them you get a general idea.
-
This is very true. I read a few articles at years end that all say when the dust settles and they look at it again, it hasn't really improved much overall and all the biggest complaints from the original are still pretty much there. Best to wait a few weeks and see how trusted players feel (fanboys and pure haters will never give a valid Opinion)
-
Most of these issues are to do with the game as a whole.
news flash destiny is bad
-
Oh yeah, there isn't much going to it anymore. I hope they turn it around but I assume destiny 1 is a right off at this point.
-
Also year 1 guns/armor/ content made obsolete
-
You know that wouldn't have bothered me as much if the year 2 weapons were actually an improvement. Since they have been mostly crap and just variations or reskins, it has not been worth it.
-
Ya this Almost all year 2 weapons are year 1 weapons that have worse perks. Almost all the exotics have something to do with reloading lol
-
And the removal of existing perks that (while complained about) at least gave you something to hope for on a gun. Field scout is gone. Rangefinder basically gone. Shot package gone. Final round nerfed into nothingness.
-
Editado por nickck: 1/16/2016 12:44:50 AMField scout didn't need to be nerfed IMO
-
Not at all. It took so many of my guns and straight ruined them. How does that, in any way, enhance the experience of the game? Day before: everything fine. Next day: a bunch of your guns are now worthless for no reason whatsoever.
-
Right all perks are bad
-
Right! Why are half the bloody "Exotics" reloading perks. It just at seems super lazy. Half of them shouldnt be exotics!!!!!
-
Right But this dumb community are like exotics are for niche areas NO THERE NOT That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard
-
Hahaha niche areas in repeating the exact same small amount of content 100 times....no. Touch of malice is probably the only real niche weapons in year 2, but even it could be used anywhere.
-
I know right But I already left. But 2 weeks ago when I tried to get a raid group it took 30 mins Not that many people play anymore. It takes 2 mins to get crucible matches now. It's sad. Also I miss elemental primaries. They should just make it so u can put elements on weapons
-
Yeah it really is dying despite what fanboys says. LFG was at 1300 people when I checked yesterday afternoon. Only going to get worse with no new content. Doesn't help that bungie has the worst communications I've ever seen from a game developer point of view.
-
And 75 percent of lfg seemed to be noobs or asses who leave on the 1st wipe
-
Numbers 4 and 6 are spot on.
-
Agreed!
