Bungie isnt nerfing those weapons for the reasons they gave us, those reasons are just a smoke screen.
They are nerfing them because they dont want their new bosses in TTK to be killed too quickly so rather than design better bosses they just nerf the weapons that have the potential to destroy the new end content.

Year one weapons still very effective. What i don't get is the nerf to Black Hammer. Why mod a perk that rewards great shooting. Not like we can stare enemies to death. Eris might be able to, but we're not Eris are we.

While it does reward a fair aim, most of bosses still have a giant crit point and don't move around at all. With the exception of quite a few bosses that is but I think I've seen an exotic sniper that has a similar perk. It has 5 shots and one of it's perks are return the ammo to the mag after five precision kills, not hits. Black Hammer would have been weaker but the perk was much better.

At least someone can see through the smokescreen!

But everyone complained about bosses with giant health pools... And that's the only thing that Gjallarhorn is good against.
-
Actually, I'm thinking it's the new equipment that they want to make look better, not the new bosses. Like the new heavy fusion rifle. They don't want Gjallarhorn to overshadow it, so they nerf the Gjally a bit to make the fusion rifle look better by comparison.

Editado por D0OM_6-6-6Xx: 8/31/2015 2:17:10 PMI doubt it, I think they're nerfing it because it makes any other rocket launcher almost obsolete in PvE when it's as good as it is now. Gally will probably still be great, just not as great, to encourage some diversity with heavy weapons in PvE. Just my take. As for the Black Hammer and Icebreaker perks... I think the Black hammer one is fine, as the dynamics of the weapon aren't changed, it just doesn't have infinite ammo anymore (which I personally believe is fair an makes sense). The Icebreaker nerf however, is completely unnecessary. Edit: altered wording

Yup. Hit the nail on the head
