Destiny World PVP Comment what you think about it.
-Arena in the middle of a patrol map/open world pvp only if you opt in
-Starts at lvl 20
-PvP would only be an option
-Faction based/FFA
-Once public events start, all become neutral and work together again
-There will be a 2 min timer to flag/unflag for pvp
-NO HEAVY AMMO SYNTHS USABLE IN PVP COMBAT
LORE: (STRAIGHT FROM BUNGIE THEMSELVES
In the City's earliest days, various factions vied for the hearts and minds of the refugee masses. Power struggles threatened to shatter an already tenuous existence.
The following conflicts, known as the Faction Wars, brought the City to its knees. When the chaos grew intolerable, a gathering of Guardians fought to end the conflict. The new peace brought a new order: the City Consensus and the Speaker ruled together, and the surviving great factions worked through civil channels to pursue their agendas.
That order still holds, but as the City reaches out into the frontier, the factions see new opportunities everywhere - and a chance to win over Guardians to their cause.
------------------------------------------------------------------
THIS WOULD NOT CHANGE PATROL AT ALL IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TO FIGHT
Like most of you I assume, there are some guardians you know that think they are so bad ass and invincible, you would like to put in the grave.
Let us choose our own fraction and hunt other guardians in the wild, only if you choose to participate
---At least give us an option to duel each other.---
AGAIN YOU DONT HAVE TO OPT IN
TL;DR YOU DONT HAVE TO FIGHT
ITS A CHOICE.PvP combat in patrol.
Think to the future forum guardians..

1 Respuestakeep pvp ppl where they are. isn't it bad enough they've ruined whole classes of weapons for pve ppl with their incessant whining. now we're going to let them into patrol maps. you know the whining will begin the same day they arrive. patrol maps will be changed to sooth the whiners and pve ppl lose again. why should i need to "flee" after a public event lest i be shot by another guardian. i like to hang around after events picking up ammo & engrams. now i'll need to run? my suggestion would be to separate pve & pvp altogether. how hard could that be.

Place PvP and non PvP altars at location in various world story locations. PvP altars can be buried at the back end of boss rooms, with non PvP altars placed near the entrance. This makes for some dynamic open world esque PvP. You gotta fight your way back to be non-PK again... Clans wars...here we come!

The option to opt in should be in the settings part of the menu. Anyone with it off should be left completely alone. If they want to sit for 2 mind after a public event, they should be able to. The pvp portion should only affect those who opt in via the settings menu.

This is the way I would go about it as I posted in one of the other threads:
I think it should just be an opt in/out feature in options if you would/wouldn't want to kill guardians, but it wouldn't work right away. Every time you load into any area, you pull out your ghost and hit a button to activate it and on the screen it will say "*insert name here* has become a rouge Guardian", then 5-10 seconds later, the killing can begin. Your Ghost might say something then everything will turn into darkness zone for you. Your super, grenade, and melee energy will also reset at this moment and recharge slightly slower. Any Guardian who loads in after will also get the notification in the center of their screen and their Ghost will warn them, giving them reaction time. Players will be immune to each other within this window, but won't have waypoints. If you opted in and aren't in the mood, pull out your Ghost and hit a button to not participate. Overall XP and reputation will be increased. Guardians will be worth 75 Glimmer and 25 reputation. Dying when you opt in as a rogue Guardian will respawn you somewhere else in the patrol to avoid making things awkward and grenade, melee, and super energy is reset. Pulling out your Ghost to act as a rouge guardian might be disabled for fire teams to avoid being over powering in groups or you get a slight buff and your ghost will warn you if multiple guardians have gone rogue. No respawn timer for fire teams, but reviving is enabled, only a little slower and without as much of a shield. Killing other Guardians is definitely disabled for for public events though. Defending Guardians only get 50 glimmer, 20 reputation, but get to respawn in the same area unless they also chose to be a rogue Guardian, but defending could be a safer option if passing by or waiting for a public event. Defending Guardians cannot be targeted by the same person when they (or their fire team) respawn to avoid awkwardness and spawn killing. If an attacking Guardian is killed, a message will show up for everyone else saying "*insert name here* was consumed by the Darkness" as a reminder of what happens without your Ghost's light (as you respawn elsewhere).
Thoughts?

1 RespuestaMake a option like MMO games to put yourself in PVP mode to fight other players, but once in combat you cant back out kill you die. I would never say no to clan wars on patrol, would love to sit and watch other players killing each other.

1 RespuestaKilling other guardians would add an interesting twist to the game. I would do it.
