Guys... Should Xur sell Gjallahorn?!
I have had the game since week one and it took me until just under a month ago to get it! I couldn't afford it when Xur first sold it.
All this time I wished Xur would stock it, just so I would have it and be a preference for raid teams.
However now I have had to earn it the hard way, I kind of like the Xur isn't selling it and people are having to work as hard as me to get it!
Let me know what you guys think....
Edit 1: Why are you guys so sensitive?! Just to let you guys know. I was never complaining. I have a split opinion on this and wanted your guys' opinions.
Edit 2: a lot of you guys at complaining about how I "earned" my gjallahorn. I earned it when it got to the point where I was simply doing nightfall and raids; crota and Atheon, to get the Gjally to drop. Yes it might be random but you can increase the chances of you getting it. Like a lottery the more tickets you put on the more chance you have of winning. When my Gjally dropped I was only raiding for one reason and it was to get the gjallahorn
Edit 3: for all you guys complaining about "yet another Gjallahorn post" find something better to do than comment. If you're not interested find another post to comment on. For all you guys that have shared your feelings/opinions/outrages/thoughts towards me. Thank you guys and keep them coming. It's helped me see both sides of the argument a lot clearer and I can understand frustrations from both sides. And I really do agree with most of you guys. Alls I really wanted was to answer the question "should Xur really sell Gjallhorn?" Bc I didn't know the answer. Your valid points really do help! So thank you and keep them coming.
Edit 4: to all you guys commenting claiming that you have worked harder than I did and I was just lucky... Read previous edits and also I never claimed to work any harder... And I never claimed that others didn't work hard for the gun and don't deserve it. Maybe more than I did. Exactly why I have a split opinion.

I think that Xur shouldn't sell it for a weekend. I think he should sell it seven weekends in a row. Teach those maxed losers who insist on Gjallarhorn a lesson.
-
If he does sell it, then people will be based upon skill because the playing field will be level. For the case of him not selling it, the weapon is a game changer and it should be limited to RNG because of what a fire team with the horn can do. Very dangerous. I say leave it to the RNG.
-
Yes it would make everything easy and make everybody happy

I got luckily last week with about 500 hours clocked in and boy, when I got I skidded on the floor while getting wood shouting how blessed I was. Made my weekend that!

Editado por Homeless Alex: 1/31/2015 9:46:06 PMI'm not saying it's on Xurs loot table because no official announcement has been made, but I guarantee the chances of it being in am xur rotation are very very low now that bungie has seen the power behind it. I got 2 of them, one for each character maxed out 2.0, and one was a nightfall a while back when NIGHTFALLS were level 28, and the second one was about a month ago from a normal crota run. A lot of people will say RNG isn't earning, which granted is true, but it's the grind that make it feel and seem like earning. Grinding NIGHTFALLS since release and finally getting a Gjallarhorn compared to sitting around stacking up coins waiting for xur. Many people say getting coins for xur is also earning them, but considering how long it's been since he's sold it, by the time he does if he ever did even the most casual of players cod have raffled up 23 coins. I'm not trying to start a debate about what earning is and isn't, but the feeling of being rewarded through RNG from a consistent grind is more of an earned feeling than waiting a year from release or maybe more for xur to sell it. Just my six cents guys.

1 RespuestaI do both raids, nightfalls, weeklys, roc strikes on all three characters and i havent "earned" it yet

2 RespuestasXur Has sold G-Horn before. The hype around this weapon is ridiculous. I hope he sells it, just so it shatters the hype and so the first question when joining a raid team won't be, "So do you have g-horn?"
-
I'm pretty positive that some people have higher chances for certain guns over others. One if my friends has gotten 6-9 g horns and no plan c where I have gotten 6-9 plan cs. So yea he needs to sell it, xur was meant to level the playing field. I have played from day one done almost every raid I could an every nightfall and still no g horn. I am missing only 4 exotics total but I have gotten at least two of literally every other exotic.
-
1 RespuestaYou didn't work any harder than a good portion of people in this game. I've played since week one, have 600+ hours, done every nightfall, raid, etc and still haven't gotten it. Don't confuse luck with hard work.
-
RNG will sell it, just has to wait
-
I think it should be an automatic drop after do a certain amout of nf or raids or after you reach a certain amount of hours it would be nice if xur sold it but at the same time I don't think it should be that easy to get such an awesome gun
-
10 RespuestasNo! The best Gun in the game should not just be sold. You should earn it. I earned all three. After months of non stop playing. I finally got it and felt accomplished. Selling it would just be worthless
-
Of course he should and he will. Its just another gun.
-
Yes. It is a great gun.
-
-
Of course he should. The worst hing I ever hear is, "oh just keep plugging away, it'll drop". No it may never actually drop no matter the hours out in. Now it's not that I just want it handed out, although I wouldn't complain. I think all exotics should have a bounty base so you can actually earn it, not get lucky and preach how you worked your ass off for a bit of good fortune.
-
I don't get why everyone feels entitled to make an opinion. I don't care either way. However I will make an opinion that anyone who says they are more entitled to a gjallarhorn than someone else is a self absorbed prick. You were lucky to have it randomly drop. You didn't earn it. I got mine my second time through VoG on normal. We had a lvl 30 pre dlc that clutched it for us. I didn't earn mine and neither did anyone. So I don't care if it sold or not just as long as people stop thinking higher of themselves because that randomly got it.
-
I agree, should not be sold
-
Only if something better that Ghorn is released.
-
2 RespuestasSo I have more hours and more raid clears then you and I Dont have it, so your saying if I bought it from xur I didn't earn it? That logic is far beyond broken. Nothing is earned accept vendor gear everything else is pure luck.
-
No I only need thunderlord and Ghorn but if XUR sold it there would be no point in bosses
-
I want Gjallarhorn as much as the next Guardian that doesn't own it. I missed out when it was sold, I don't think I really knew what the strange coins were for back then-Day 2 noob! Anyhow I've played this game constantly for over 400 hundred hours and I would like to own this mighty beast but I want to be awarded it. By not having it yet I still have a chance to get it pretty much every time I play!! I don't want to loose out on the awesome feeling you must get when that little Exotic pops up on the right hand side with that great little sound bite and you wanna Shout, Scream & Jizz at the same time.... Saying that if Xur has it next Xurday....... erm, well....

Editado por Doc SoCal: 1/31/2015 5:30:53 PMYep, I will love seeing all those that suffer delusions of grandeur getting "cured"...

Who cares it just a gun sell it or don't it really doesn't matter
