Yea this community is full of people who want to fill special and I agree with you. People mistake luck with RNG for skill. Here is an example. Player 1 finishes the raid ten times on easy mode and has a completion time average of 45 mins and still gets stuck at 31 because of RNG. Player 2 completes the raid 4 times on easy mode with a completion time average of 2 hours and is lucky with RNG and makes 32. Player 2 then takes to the forums to berate Player 1 oh how much of a scrub he or she is for not making 32 and how much they suck even though Player 2 takes longer to complete raids and dies more often. Same idiotic approach people take when it comes to "Earning" Exotics through RNG instead of buying from Xur. But then again this is due to Activision's Favorite Key Demographic of 12-18 yr olds making up 30% of the community and another considerable amount of the community that has the maturity and intelligence of said demographic.

Also, don't say you can carry the sword as a 31 on hard. You will not do enough damage, no matter how good you are.

Same lol i asked on several different forums as a 31 hunter whos nearly 32 just missing that one piece and ONLY to do the Lamps part of the raid and no one on any of the forum posts replied lol

I don't accept 31's unless I know them personally or know they are good before hand. I can't stand inviting random 31's because they usually drop the ball. Of course there are exceptions but who wants to take the risk? My advise get some friends to regularly raid with.

Take this lesson and invite a bunch of 31s with your 32 to do Crota next time. Can't say it's not fair because lots of 32s are out there who still haven't done it.

Because hunters suck.

Last week killed Crota with 4 32s and 2 31s, and for half our team it was their first time attempting a hard Crota run. Last night, we did the entire raid on hard last in under an hour with 3 32s and 3 31s. Of all the checkpoints, the lamps took us the longest because I (as a 32 hunter) kept making stupid mistakes at the bridge. Lamps: 4 tries (lol) Gatekeepers: first try Deathsinger: first try Crota: 2nd try Only reason we didn't kill Crota first try is we couldn't find the swordbearer on the second sword (turns out he had run straight to the back of the lower left room below the boomers and just stood there for a good 30 seconds). That was at least the tenth time I've beaten Crota on hard, fourth as swordbearer. And I've never had a smoother run. No deaths, no close calls, just absolute perfection on everyone's end. I honestly didn't think we'd make it past the deathsinger, let alone Crota, before I had to go to bed. But right after we ended up doing ANOTHER fresh hard raid all the way up to Crota again before we hit the hay. Oh, and only one person besides myself had a Gjallarhorn. And for 2 of the 31s, it was just their second time killing Crota on hard. I've been in numerous hard raids containing all 32s with maxed Gallys that took 10 times as long to kill Crota as our team of under-leveled misfits did. Moral of the story: 31s are far from useless in the hard raid. I would take a skilled 31 using One Way Ticket over a bumbling 32 with Gally any day. Disregard those players who think they need all 32s (with Gjallarhorns) to beat the hard raid. Yes, these 2 things make killing Crota easier, but are by no means a necessity and certainly not a requirement. I would bet every exotic I own (that's everything but the Necro & PS4 exclusives) that a significant number of those on destinytracker LFG seeking only 32s with Gallys are just looking for a crutch (team) to lean on because they don't have the skills to carry their own weight through the raid.
