I was able to login today and complete the Daily Heroic and then go to the tower. No dropouts although I wasn't on for long. I love this game when it works. Thanks Bungie. I suspect when servers are busy and everyone playing I get shut out .. but right now all good .... after 12 days! YAY! Hoping this isn't a one-off ... I'm playing tonight so I'll know soon.

You sir have been bungied every patch brings new problems. Or error codes its not that bungie don't want to help you they can't there over there head in networking problems last time the cattle was running lose due to the zoo keeper not feeding the hamsters.the power then went out and the doirs opened for all the animals to run lose there still trying to catch them all please be patient there working on the problem the bought three more hamsters. Hired two more zoo keepers and five feeding hands the pribl r m should be resolved by next year keep your light bright guardians

Bungie, please advise. Things I have tried to no avail: 1. Re-installed Destiny 2. Ensured I have an OPEN Nat (other games like Gears of War 3 and Xbox Live tell me I do). 3. Opening ports 4. Port forwarding 5. UPnP (this is the default that I use) 6. Setting up the xbox in a DMZ with a direct IP address on the Internet. 7. Cleared the Xbox cache 8. Tried another modem. What more can I do?

9 days now. I suspect when the demand dies down after the hard mode I'll be able to connect to their overloaded servers. Just a theory though will find out soon.

i get to the tower and then bam kicked out of the club. getting pissed in a major way. i can play tanks all day long no issue, the last two days have when all this caterpillar nonsense has kicked in. what gives bungie figure it out please

UPDATE: Regarding previous post, I was able to sign in only ONCE on the weekend (25th Jan) - I completed the Daily Heroic - all good. Then I couldn't get to anywhere without a Baboon. Now I am back to being unable to signin. I reckon I've tried about 50 times to no avail. I have put a new modem in my network now - same issue, but it's a better modem - so I'll leave it on there. All other games operate perfectly over the net. Back to Weasel and Centipede and sometimes Chicken. :( ... collect my tears ... cannot sign in (cannot get to character selection screen).

UPDATE: [b]I can now sign in[/b]. Yay. I managed to complete the Daily Heroic Strike without a hiccup, but now anything I try to get to, results in getting Baboon-ed (Strike, Crucible, Tower, Patrol, etc.). At least things appear to be heading in the right direction.

Errors today - in this order - Weasel Centipede Weasel Chicken Centipede All errors thrown after "verifying content" (and I think a quick "checking storage space" or something flashes up but it's pretty quick) and immeditaltey before character selection screen. I cannot get to character selection screen. Often when trying to get to character selection screen I see "Attention: Contacting Desitny Servers...". Things I have done: 1. Re-installed Destiny 2. And note, prior to 8 days ago I have been playing Destiny fine. There was a time around October or November when I was getting kicked out so often it was unusable for 10 days. This is different because it throws me back to sign-in screen at the same place always.... just prior to the character selection screen. I get no reply or response from Bungie. You would think this could be easy to solve because the error occurs at the same spot every time. Bungie look at the code and let us know what is happening at that point, please. Hoping to get a resolution, but if this goes on for more than 10 days I'll have to quit trying. Three and a helf months of good game play (would be 4 except for the 10 days in Oct/Nov). I guess that is ok value for $70. But I'll be envious of the lucky sods who can still play it. In 2 days I'll be off these forums and returning the game or burning it or something. I am really starting to despise a game I once loved. Thank you guardians, I have enjoyed the time while it lasted.

Bungie - do I need to re-install Destiny? What should I do to fix this error. It occurs EXACTLY at the same spot every time. Just before the character selection screen appears (and after "verifying content"). Someone at Bungie must know what is going on?
