Original Accounters Unite!
I am proud to say that this is my first and only account. I have had this since I purchased Halo 3 in October and I don't intend to start a new one just to get a 45-50.
If I did get a new account it probably wouldn't be that hard to hit 45 but it wouldn't feel like that was my true skill (no pun intended). The system was designed for people to level off at about their skill level and then if you got better over time you could level up slowly.
Now, this system is being ruined by everyone just saying "Hey I'm better now and I don't want to wait for the ranks to catch up with my skill so I'll just start a new account." I'm not fully hating on you guys who do this because it is tempting to do. However, this kinda destroys the whole system by allowing those players to mess up other players' win streaks on their way up to 50 or whatever (you need win streaks to move up ranks typically). I won't really spend a lot of time there because almost everyone is aware of the problem.
This isn't a thread for dissing new accounters mainly, this is a thread where people can post "Yeah, I am on my first account and I am proud of it." Be it a staff captain, Field Major, or even a General, if it's your first account, let's hear it!
Edit- I have actually had this gamertag since I got live during Halo 2. I forgot about that. It's not a competition to see who has had it the longest but it is cool to see people sticking to their original accounts since way back when.

I got Xbox LIVE on Christmas Eve. Still my first and only account. I did play a lot of campaign before I got LIVE, so I was higher up than the people I started playing. Which is probably why I got my 50 as a Commander. But back then, having a 50 actually got my respect, now it gets me stereotypes.

I'm with you on that one. I may have changed my name a few times, but it's still the same account. So whenever I do get my 50, it will be that much sweeter.

This is my only account. And I'm proud of it. Ooo-rah. =P I know it doesn't look that way based on the creation date but I never had XBL before this year. My internet connection was always too terrible. And I didn't get Halo 3 until Christmas (*blushes in shame*) because my boyfriend at the time forbid me from buying it. Needless to say we had a couple "discussions" about the fact that I had gotten both Halo:CE and Halo 2 on the day they came out and that I was missing out on all kinds of stuff... but he had clearly bought it for me as a present without knowing that three months in video game time is FOREVER so I couldn't get too mad at him. And he got me the Legendary edition when I would have just bought the Heroic one. So that was pretty cool. =P

Original and only account. Since Halo 2 days. Don't play much though, because I live out where high-speed internet doesn't reach. That will be changing in about 2 weeks though. Woot!

This is my first account and I am a 50, you can see that I played H2 a lot as well. I don't think it is that hard to get to a 50 personally. I do think it is funny that a lot of people think they will get a 50 on a new account just cause they got a little better than they were when they started. Most of that is due to the fact that a lot of the really good 50's out there don't play much ranked stuff anymore and prefer customs. If they were still playing most of these new accounts couldn't get to 50's. Proud to be a 50 on my 1st account.

sadly this is my 2nd acount when i got my 360, i had problems transfering my LEDMAN1 acount to my 360 so i had to let live run out and start a new acount :( but i am still proud of it :)

My 1st & only account, I wasn't good when I started but I'm better now so I rank up slowly but there is no way I'd buy a new account because I'd have to get all my achievements again and the ranking system must work because I generally get even matches. [Edited on 06.26.2008 7:51 AM PDT]

kudos this is my one and only account i think people should be playing the game for the enjoyment not just to get up to 50 skill obviously i want to my skill to be as high as possible and it will get better over time as i am a relatively new to xbox live but its not the end of the world if i never get there. thats my two cents anyway chyeah

I've had this account since Halo 2. Although, if you look at my Bnet Account, it says I haven't played Halo 2 online. It only says that because I've changed my gamertag from SneakyShadow12 to OsK SN3AKY to SN3AKY Spartan and now it's Noxious Eagle. So, yeah, this is my first account. My friends who wanted their 50's so badly decided to make new accounts. Two of my friends had to make like 3 accounts before they got their 50's and I still have a friend who's made like 10 accounts but he can't get his 50. I like to remind them that they had to make new accounts when they tell me that they are 50's. Some of them even tried to get me to make a new account but I was like "No. I will get my 50 on this one."
