Black Hammer worth it?
Got three maxed out Ice Breakers, do I really need the black hammer or should it become mats?

Remember it has hive disruptor so it will always be more effective against hive enemies than ib.

Keep it for those times you need an exotic elsewhere. Don't pigeon hole yourself

More than worth keeping it. It's just not as versatile as an IB. Harder hitting and faster shooting than IB but only really good on bosses w/o shields.

I have 3 icebreakers and 3 black hammers :)

For bosses it's probably the best gun to use as long as u can hit those crits

Black hammer is amazing, I got mine yesterday and I've nearly got it maxed. Friend of mine got it too nd between the two of us the big ass cabal tank on Mars went down in under a minute. I took down the devil walker myself in under 2 minutes with it and breakfast prime... well he didn't last either Its a fantastic gun

Why have 3 IB if bank space is limited? The Black hammer is way better than Ice Breaker for any boss, unless you're god awful at this game. Unlimited ammo no reloading higher impact. A team of black hammers takes down Atheon in one time's vengeance.

Low ammo so definitely situational. I thought it would be easier to rack off 3 head shots consecutively, but either it kills in one hit or enemies are on the move. It works wonders against strike bosses, tho

Out performs ice breaker on any boss with a decent size crit spot. You can stun lock any boss basically

It one shots the boomer Knights. Wrecks strike bosses in less than a minute, looks fantastic. Just requires a little finesse. More of a situational sniper. It frees up my IB slot, so I can run exotic heavy or primary.

Black hammer for strike bosses. Ice Breaker for anything else.

If its got a decent crit point you can stun lock it. Tanks, various strike bosses, annoying bullet sponges mobs on nightfall. Endless rounds. Its amazing and godlike in its niche.

4 RespuestasAre you a good shot? If yes, then trash your piece of shit you call ib. This gun is better than ib if you can make the shots. You don't have to wait for the recharge on ib, you just keep on shooting. Bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam and then BAM the boss is dead in like 30 secs. It does more damage anyway. I think it has more impact than ib.

3 RespuestasBlack hammer is better then ib in the raid, if you plan on hard mode you should keep it. If you don't plan on hard mode I would say it's a good alternative to ib when you want to use another exotic

1 RespuestaDo you always have icebreaker equipped? I don't so I use black hammer. Also I have Ghorn and other exotics with burns. Helps to free up a spot. Plus if you do screw up you can pop a synth which the cool down is 5min vs heavy at 10.

Yeah it's awesome. Best legendary sniper by a mile should really be an exotic.
