Dragon's Breath is supposed to be one of the crown jewels of the dlc, an awesomely powerful exotic that destroys.
Right now, it's not. The solar grenade makes targets run away instead of taking damage. Right now it's only useful on bosses that don't move and blocking off choke points, which can be done with grenades.
My proposal is the get rid of the solar grenade and instead, give it a napalm burn to all enemies in the aoe. Once the rocket explodes, everything in the aoe takes burn damage like the hunter napalm grenade, except more powerful.
This will put DB in line with Gjallarhorn as one of the powerhouses of the game. Imagine firing a single rocket at the floor under 4 wizard ultras and watching them burn to death.
It will finally live up to the badass name "Dragon's Breath". It's also the best looking rocket launcher.

Thanks for the support guys. Keep it coming!!!
Edit 2:
Used it against Crota last night. With the slow rocket speed and lack of tracking, it was very hard to hit him from long range. This is pathetic as Dragon's Breath was made for this dlc.

That would actually be fantastic.
-
But xur and rng gives a shetload of them
-
Seems legit I'd support it.
-
I think that this is a good idea!
-
Increase blast radius, damage output, give it a blind effect of 10 seconds (pve) and a similar blind effect to flashbang grenade in pvp. Give it 2 fire modes, hip fire fires a solar flare for X amount of meters that passes through all enemies and inflicts DOT. ADS gives you a rocket like it does now. Oh wait, that sounds useful AND fun, so forget all that.
-
Just give it tracking and slower movement when hit so the solar grenade perk has an actual use. Now its not OP and not useless.
-
Bungie aint listening shiiit....: look at that necro efing chasm😄.... End game exotic they said.. Much more useless then dog poopp... And no consolidation from bungie even

5 RespuestasTruth is Gjallahorns retarded brother Dragons breath is the one they tried to drown at birth.
-
Although I like your idea, I disagree that Dragons breath was made specifically for Crotas end. At least that's how I understood it when I read that.
-
2 RespuestasYes! Come on Deej why can't you think like this
-
-
Or increase the size of the solar flare and make it so enemies can't leave the flare, something like that. Napalm would also be acceptable as long as it has 100% proc chance for the entire blast radius because dat blast radius tho
-
Stay out of my dreams!!!
-
1 RespuestaYes it needs to get Buffed. And have the Burn do the same level of damage as Wolf Pack Rounds does for Gjallarhorn. Then most wont even need the Gjallarhorn anymore.
-
Great idea!
-
Thanks for the bumps guys. Being sold a second time by xur, i'm sure more and more people will notice its weaknesses. Ditch that retarded solar flare and give it napalm burn already
-
I like the idea of Dragon's Breath catching enemies on fire in the blast radius. I know people want tracking but when does a Dragon's breath follow its target? When you turn your head :) Tracking is not necessary if there is enough power to compensate for it in my opinion.

2 RespuestasGod knows why they thought putting the warlock solar grenade was a good idea on a rocket. Sorry Bungie but you arent fooling anyone. Flare is sucky as enemies move out of it. And an idea for napalm: Since DB has tripod on it, consecutively landing rockets on an enemy will strengthen the effect from napalm. Without tracking it takes more skill to consistently hit with this launcher so if you stack 3 succesful napalms on an enemy, it should outdamage Ballerhorn. Make sense?
-
Editado por Lat's Gun-Fu Dojo: 1/29/2015 8:39:09 PMReplace tripod with grenades and horseshoes (early detonation within proximity of an enemy), increase velocity, replace solar detonation with that napalm burn you said, and have the napalm either deal massive damage for a short time or have it linger on enemies but with less damage. This rocket launcher shouldn't have tracking cuz it has ww2 antique look, it would ruin the traditional dumbfire and make all the exotic rocket launchers have tracking rounds so there would be no diversity amongst them

1 RespuestaA "Paralyzing" effect would be cool.
-
Giving it napalm kind of stops it from being area denial. Make the flare "stick" to a target it hits. Then it would stick to Crota, for instance, and it would tick the entire time on him, giving it a pretty good DPS jump. Then if you just shoot it at the ground or the enemy dies, the flare stays put and still acts as area denial.

2 RespuestasI think it should replace Tripod with tracking
