My adopted noob.
While on patrol on Venus, I stumble across the raid area. I found a level 27 doing the raid. He was hopelessly bouncing between the plates. Knowing how hard it is, I decided to help out. Turns out he was trying to do the raid by himself because he didn't know you needed a full team of 6 to do the raid. Just to help the guy out, I hit up my raid group, we grabbed our characters and backpacked him through the raid. I found it cool that some guardians can stop what they are doing to help out other low level players. This is something that isn't all there in today's community. Kind of sad really. Thought I'd share my story of my adopted noob.

So cool to see this post getting so much love. I was originally skeptical of posting this because I thought no one would care. Posted it anyway. Glad I did. Seeing as how I see these nice responses and cool stories of other guardians doing the same.

36 Respuestas*Shhh get down! Look over there, we have stumbled across a wild noob. These majestic creatures have been spotted around urban and rural areas and they are astonishing. They have been seen around the tower doing their mating dance, asking people their help by sending nonstop party and game invites, without a single message letting them know why, or what they need. I can't believe we have the opportunity to see one in the wild. Look at him prancing around the platforms here on Venus, grazing on the natural foliage this planet has to offer. Ohh wait look! A wild praetorian! These beasts are ferocious, they weigh up to 600 Lbs of pure titanium, have a void shield, and a void blaster similar to those of the hive Knights. Once these wild praetorians catch eyesight of anything, they attack quickly and violently. OH NO! He's spotted our little noob, run noob, RUN! Oh no...guardian down*

I had a guy offer to help me out when I first started. I saw him spawn in while I was contemplated trying the Heroic strike at a pretty low level. Messaged him and asked if he was doing the Heroic too. He replied that he was soloing the Undying Mind nightfall but would be glad to help me. We ended up doing my first Nightfall instead. I was level 26 or 27 and couldn't do much damage. He did pretty much all the work and I get my first exotic, which of course turned out to be the Ghorn. He was totally cool with it, even though he was an alpha player without one. We're in a regular group of really good guys now, but I definitely owe it all to him for getting me here. I wouldn't event be playing Destiny anymore otherwise. He's also just really good at guiding first time raiders through by taking control of the group in a genteel manner that never rubs people the wrong way. Players like you are the most important players in the game as a result of giving other players a reason to stick around instead on moving on to the next game because they can't participate in Destiny's end game content. Fact: The elitist that refuse to play with "noobs" are actually hurting the game they love for the exact opposite reason. The bottom line is that a larger player base increases the odds of more and better content being offered in the future.

This is something that is really helpful and people should do it more especially since hard mode's coming out soon. There are too many @$$holes who demand 300+ light, emblems, experience, and the blood of a virgin to even be considered for their raid team. Can't get experience if nobody gives you a chance to learn, jackwads!

I love helping people. I don't have anything to do with my time... Mostly its the classic daily routine... Bounty, Quest, Materials, Kills... Its a nice change of pace sitting there explaining what you would consider " Essential " to know in Destiny to someone who's never known that.

3 RespuestasI adopted a noob a while back on earth patrol once. we were both Titans and he saw that I took out a group of enemies really easily. He ended up sending me a friend request that I accepted and then helped him with the earth story missions. It was really fun but that was the first and last time I've played with him. I saw he was online a couple days ago and that he had three characters that were all almost level 32 and had already done the Crota's End raid more times than I have. *Sigh* they grow up so fast

Dude I'm a adoption center for noobs and I help them with a lot of stuff some of my friends do help me go through this process. I helped so much like the story raids weekly strikes and nightfalls I even help guide them on which exotics are the ones to strive for and where to use them. Sadly most of them forgot about me and deleted me but there is a small VERY appreciative group that got to the point where I ask them for help on stuff. to this day I still help level 2s get to level 20 or more when I stumble upon them in the wild.

I adopted 2 noobs back in the day when i was level 24 when the struggle was still real, they were level 11 and 12 i nurced them up to level 28 before dlc launch and see them make it to level32, tell you man ;_; ...they grow up way to fast, now they wreck in pvp and dominate raids

Glad there are nice players out there. I helped a team of six complete the plates. The two on bottom left kept getting crushed by the menotaurs. I was on my way to campus nine to do a queens bounty when I noticed the problem. Had them through the gate in seconds and they all waved before entering.

I ran there from the citadel just so I could kill a praetorian with it and laugh. I saved the shots for the Minotaurs that came for the middle and just used my regular guns when they ran out. They invited me to their group and party after that and kept calling me "scorch cannon guy" lol Oh and necromumps
