They're not hackers - they couldn't hack their way out a paper bag! lol! Which is why they get someone to do simple DDOS attacks just out of spite and a laugh

Don't you think that's even sadder then? That the company we pay millions to can't handle something like that even over the course of 3 days? I also heard they had a warning beforehand.

The readin nothing is done is cause there is nothing to be done. Ddos works by overflowing g the network with requests (iirc) so unless you stop all requests itll overload the network.
-
Only way to really prevent a ddos attack is block all access or shut down the servers since until it hits your not gonna know where it's coming from so one way or another a lot of people weren't gonna be able to play.

Sony and Microsoft did what they could, it's not their fault that they were victims of a DDOS attack. In simple layman's term, a DDOS attack is like some group blocking the doors to a business. You can't get in to purchase something because the doors are all flooded with people who have no business there, other than disrupting that business. That business can't very well do much about an attack like that. The same is true about Microsoft and Sony. Now if they get "hacked" and OUR personal information is stolen, then they would be at fault for not having safeguards in place, but DDOS attacks are just the servers being flooded with garbage not letting the actual consumers get to where they are allowed to go.

Wasn't even Bungie it was psn and Xbox. But no one expects hackers to attack gaming community during their days off. So you can't expect sony and Microsoft to fix anything when their workers are enjoying time with the family. Think of it as a day off from gaming.

I read the hack costed around 200$ AU. Something so simple should have a safeguard. I bet xurs just sitting in the tower wondering where the -blam!- everyone is, with his sack full of coal engrams.
