Lvl 31 noobs?!
I don't think anyone who has not been through the vog or hours of iron banner play should be over Lvl 30. Why did you make the vog and everything in it useless? I don't get that and it kind of pisses me off cus played countless hours in vog for my Lvl 30 gear and now someone who just picks up he game today can be Lvl 31 in no time. Wtf.
Edit#1- I'm not trying to insult anyone, I'm sorry if I insulted anyone. I'm just addressing my concern about the ranking system. It should be progression, "becoming legend" as the game said. Being able to just buy gear that is better than raid gear shouldn't be. Thank you everyone for your awesome opinions!

5 RespuestasI can't understand why so many people seem to care what level or what gear anyone else has or can get. Aren't you playing this game because you enjoy playing the game? Who cares if newer players don't need to play as much as you have to reach higher levels, you have gotten to play and enjoy the game far longer than they have. What difference does it make to you? Outside of the Iron Banner, more players being higher levels is only potentially better for everyone; more guardians to help you fight the darkness. I'm just sick of seeing everyone complaining about "I worked hard for my stuff, and now other players can get it more easily than I did, boo hoo." If you didn't enjoy playing the game to earn your gear, then why were you playing it? Would you prefer to be able to go to a tower vendor and just pick up some raid gear and any exotic or legendary weapon, fully upgraded and be done with the game already? Congratulations, you just spent $60 so you could spend 10 minutes in the tower reaching max level, I guess you beat the game, you're the best, wasn't that fun?

Chest Bump!!!! Whoever disagrees with this definitely did not grind countless hours in the VOG while wiping 10,000 times because of bugs and glitches, and beating sync plates, confluxes, Templar, and Atheon week after week to only get shards and energy.

I totally agree the raid armour which I spent so long to get is now rendered useless and I now have 9 year old kids at level 31 calling me a been cuz I still use my raid gear like -blam!-.

2 RespuestasIt helps those of us who were not able to spend countless hours in The VOG, let alone those who only got Ascendent Materials. Plus, this is the kind of thing that happens in any investment game. Look at WoW. With every expansion, the most powerful gear in the game becomes useless when new gear comes out. This is how they keep making money without micro transactions. When the House of Wolves comes out, I would expect the same thing again. If you don't like it, I hear the Halo:MCC got fixed. As well there are many other excellent games out such as DA: Inquisition and Borderlands. I myself am leaning towards the middle game.

I had never played WoW and I could buy the game and level up to 90 apparently... What about the people who had sunk years of their lives into it to achieve that rank? Its a game, have fun, show people the ropes. If more people took the noobs for a tour, the less noobish thry would be.

8 RespuestasLol I'm the type of guy who is patient enough to explain the process to the 1st timers so I don't really mind, although when the players in question are a little on the younger side and don't quite want to listen. That sort of gets on my nerves a little bit. I know they are a little imature but darn they trash talk like the kids in advanced warfare. :-P

2 RespuestasThe problem is that your level has no relevance to your skill level or your time in the game. Before the DLC I was 29 as I hadn't completed the raid. I was getting fed up of running strikes and nightfall with useless level 30's that couldn't keep themselves alive. Unfortunately misguided players think level is an indication of greatness, where in fact reaching level cap means absolutely nothing in this game!

Editado por Silvurphlame: 12/27/2014 8:41:57 PMI think the core issue is the relatively small level cap raise and the way Bungie handles "traditional" levels compared to "Light" levels and ties high levels to gear quality instead of the other way around. I think Bungie could have done things differently with the level cap raise. One, it should have been a larger raise. Five or even ten levels instead of two. Second, you shouldn't be able to just jump from 20 to max with one set of gear, in my opinion. I feel Bungie should have increased the "base" level by a few as well. Let's say, new Light level cap of 35 with a new base level of 25. Keep the old armor available, sell the new as well and require a commendation and level 25 to unlock it for purchase. Now assuming Bungie added some new content for players below Light 30 and a decent amount of content for players working on the 30-35 range, they could have had something for everybody. This would have also made VoG armor useful for those building their base level up beyond 20, and kept the Raid relevant for new players, since they wouldn't be able to jump to the new tier of legendary armor immediately.

I understand a bit what you are trying to say, but fresh scrubs that just join the game still have to rank up their rank in order to qualify for the gear AND need commendations :P so it's not like they can just get all this fancy (the warlock gear is ugly) new gear, and get to level 31.

Yeah have seen a level 31 noob . Kid was bragging that he just maxed his titan helmet out so i inspected him and about died laughing guantlets chest and greeves were all from different factions ( i knew the answer but i asked and yes he bought only one piece of armor the rest were from drops and rewards) So i started asking him questions ( Btw we were in a party for crota raid i was tryn to help another friend ) come to find out he had never done V.O.G. and had only watched videos on it. At this.point i started to explain about v.o.g. and how it all works ......this little bitch got cocky with me so i scooped up my friend from the tower and we hit v.o.g. on normal and.watched this bitch die every 30 seconds . By the time we got to the twmplar fight he was asking what was he doing wrong , why was he dieng so much ect. So this time when i explained he listened . So yes level 31 noobs do exsist

4 RespuestasI honestly wish this game had sort of a gate system used in a lot of MMOs. Like in The Secret World for instance....there is a boss called The Gatekeeper that has to be defeated solo and is the only way you can start running the nightmare dungeons. Destiny needs this mechanic for their raids. Hopefully, when the game gets more content, they will introduce the gate system.

2 RespuestasI'm a lvl 29. I have never played iron banner, don't spend much time in the crucible at all and I've never played either raid. That doesn't necessarily mean I didn't work for my gear. Most of my gear was purchased through the vanguard. Some people may think it's the easy way out but there's a limit to what you can do. You can only earn 100 marks a week. That's one piece of gear that isn't a helmet. Then you need to grind out even more marks for more gear just to dismantle for ascendant shards. Sure it's not as difficult as a raid may be, but it's a really long process.

6 RespuestasI may agree with VoG , but iron banner seems entirely unnecessary to prove one isn't a noob. I'm not a big pvper, but I can appreciate the point your trying to make. As much as I enjoyed the fail group of 30/31's I attempted VoG with earlier this week and they couldn't even live past the first conflux. lol
