how much money did bungie burn yesterday?
Personally I am now not buying the dlc and will probably trade the game - thus losing bungie sales. This is because they are deleting our exotic progress on Tuesday and forcing us all to start from scratch if we want our exotics to be practical moving forward.
Who else is now spending their money elsewhere and giving up the game?
Many are complaining about the time it will take to re-level exotics. No no no no no. I've spent hours upgrading my exotics but doing that again is NOT MY COMPLAINT!
The problem is that our effort has literally been deleted because you do not need to have levelled the gun in order to evolve it to the next level.
If you needed your gun to be fully levelled before you could upgrade it i would actually be excited for this as the added power would mean we could finish the strikes faster
They have done it this way so that new players can immediately catch up with those further in the game. I have a couple of un-levelled exotics (bad juju, last word, truth, and that crappy bounty machine gun) and I'm glad I never spent the time to level them! This is not right
This is what we need to complain about: Bungie need to make it so that a weapon has to be fully upgraded before we can increase the level like this. One voice people!
Edit: because some people failed reading comprehension, let me state that of course I know that nobody is holding a gun to our heads making us upgrade, but if we want our guns to remain practical to use we will need to do this, even if not immediately.

You are not forced to delete or reset anything. It is all choice and if you want to keep your weapons weak and inferior fine. Others won't complain and get more powerful gear because they don't have issues and need to complain everyday or they go crazy. I have payed more for Destiny game then you ever will and it is FANTASTIC. I will get more powerful and pimped out gear with every expansions while further my Guardian to Legendary-ness. Your guns attack power stays at 300 and leveling them doesn't take much time 1-3 days

I cannot believe that this is an issue for some people . You can re-level exotics that you like and want to keep , then you scrap the others for valuable exotic shards . Personally i will keep the exotics that were only available as bounty rewards , most of the others that i bought from Xur and were readily available will more than likely get scrapped .

What is sad is that they not only burned money, but also all the good will they regained from the last patch after the string of blunders since launch... As it was basically the first patch that made some really needed changes without messing up other things. Now it is clear it was the underpinnings to severely mess up other things. Figures...

When an expansion comes out, you level yourself up(using time and materials), you raid(using time and materials, and 20-30 people) to get the item you want and then you simply destroy the old item. Here you are given an option to upgrade an item you already have, rather than destroy it. You grind to get the item to where it is(originally), and again to get it back up on the new item. It's the same as going from level 50 to level 60, and then getting level 60 items. You had to work to get those level 50 items, and now you have to work to get those level 60 items. In Destiny it's not so drastic. You don't have to go out and "Get" new items, or grind new levels to get it...you already have it. You just need to put in a little time to upgrade it to the standard of the new weapons of the expansion....and you don't even have to do that if you don't want to.

what is wrong with you. you come here with a false narrative and then lie about how your gear and gun will work. If anyone played the ID this is simple in reforging the weapon/gear. exotics the reason for this is because the reforge takes you higher then what we can go to now. If you want to quit then save us the moron trouble and jump. dont try and grand stand for a crowd. just go. jess how is it not right u lazy tard. lvling up a gun or gear is simple. do bounties along with missions and u gain XP. the problem here is you. practical you gun will go up a some points in damage. it still has the same perks and abilities. No what this is someone complaining about having to do something that really they wont or dont have to do. how do u know what one needs. the guns are being pushed so logically the gun has to start over. i dont get this rant. has no logic and really smacks of just i want i want scene.

So all you flappers can stop panicking. If you would like an upgraded version of the weapon you have, empty or maxed then see xur . If he has your weapon you may trade it. This WILL reset your stats, however it will enable you to attain higher ones as you re upgrade it. You are not forced to do this. If you can bother yourself you may. If not keep the one you have. Simples

They didn't loose any money. All the people who played so much to get a ton of exotics maxed are already too addicted and will buy whatever bungie wants to sell.
