We save our super the whole time and get less glory and kills in order to:
Prevent a wipe when the boss is almost dead
Get teammates up who stupidly died in the middle of a crowd of enemies that will surely kill us so we get you up, die, and waste our super on saving you
Solo a portal if too many people are down we can hold our own
Be the last few alive every time on a bad hard raid run that we inevitably save by having the only two guys left be the warlocks with shields killing all 3 sides of never ending sacrificing minotaurs
Pick the shield back up immediately if we die to save time a little time on the cleanse recharge and prevent a wipe since the other classes always hesitate to run down and grab it
Throw ourselves in front of you when your saying "shit shit shit" and we know you're gunna die so we sacrifice ourself to distract the enemy then super revive and distract it some more til you're healed (I do this with praetorians constantly while defending portals)
Just realize that the sunsinger uses just as many team work strategies as the titan next time you go thinking were for "cheeses only" and I didn't see you complaining when we did that for you either
Edit: lots of replies guys. Also shout out to the guy named Swirve for posting such a blasphemous and incorrect comment that he got more replies than the actual post. Lol Sunbros unite!
Edit 2: thanks to a few argumentative idiots I now have a post with 700 replies lol thanks for being you idiots.

Not to mention saving a return to orbit during the nightfall. My warlock has turned into the "get gear for friends" class this week.
-
Self rez is lame. I watch warlocks die all the time from dumb stuff early in a phase of VoG. The ability make people play poorly. If I can go a whole raid phase without dying on my squishy hunter there is no excuse for dying when you could just take cover for a second. Also people depend on it too much, too often you hear "dang I though I had radiance up!" And now we are down a dude.
-
I just don't like it in PvP when I kill you I expect you to stay dead and spawn properly, not be all BOOM!!! "Me soul on fire hot hot hot!!"
-
Each class has something they are better at. Titans an warlocks can hold plates as long as needed, I have yet to see anybody, even hunters out maneuver me with the shield(hunter) I mean it's hard to die if you don't get hit. And I'm never in opposition to letting a self Rez warlock go out on a suicide mission to kill the last oracle that has seconds left, especially on hard. Each class has its advantages and disadvantages, as do the players themselves have their own sets of skills. It's all about knowing what you can do and what you can take
-
And during times vengeance we activate our supers and become the invaluable supplicant killers, netting 10+ orbs Everytime
-
Cheers!!!

I wouldn't say it is as much selfish as it is self-righteous. It prompts personal opinions such as this right here when in reality you could use the boosts that increase team cooldowns and enable you to spam grenades regularly to clear mobs thus preventing a potential wipe where you would need to self revive anyhow, buy it's "just in case," right?
-
I agree. I main the sunsinger in endgame content, and the way I play and spec my skills I have a good amount of survivability at my disposal. Ultimately my super is used only when I make a small mistake or a glitch occurred. Or maybe I just got three hobgoblins using my head for target practice. Whatever the reason, I only activate it when I'm dead unduly (and when I get back up, I never hear my group calling me a noob for it because I likely just saved them a lot of trouble or a wipe). I don't go martyrmode too often but I can put myself in a better position to help my team by holding a plate or grabbing the relic, etc, when they're struggling. Don't hate on the sun, y'all. It's the primary light source in the solar system. I hear light is a big deal in this game.

3 RespuestasOn my hunter I can drop 16 orbs in a matter of seconds in the Vault. One shot supplicant kills during atheon. One shot oracles on hard (if I hit them as soon as they spawn, if not then it takes two). As a bladedancer the invisibility is amazing for reviving teammates, even if they are surrounded by enemies (not on hard vog). The hunter has value whether you like it or not. The value of my warlocks revive is nothing to sneeze at, but hunters bring something to the table also, as do titans.
-
1 RespuestaNope, I'm moving away from being a warlock and soon I will have three 30 titans. Thanks to raid/ib/exotics. Titans are sooooo useful for every situation.
-
What's funny is how many orbs warlocks can drop with our super. When I'm helping a raid group on easy, I'm always popping my super and dropping 6-10 orbs allowing players to pop theres. It's amazing when I'm doing a public event with 2 other warlocks and orbs are dropping falling like rain.

I love having one on my team being the slow, old Leeroy Jenkins that I am.

Editado por DeeJo The God: 12/4/2014 11:04:19 AMWarlocks literally suck and are good for nothing except for running around like a -blam!-ing retard and dying! -blam!- all of you warlocks!
Jk
-
i only use the sunsinger in Hard Raid or nightfall to prevent wipes I much prefer the all out attack approach of the voidwalker but SS has its uses!
-
I use revive for the raid only because it's what people are expecting me to be using
-
Editado por Odin77: 12/4/2014 10:54:21 AMI like using Sun singer as that way I have a reason to scream praise the Sun when I self rez.
-
18 RespuestasEditado por Deiowf: 12/3/2014 4:14:46 PMYou use self rez in PvE because you suck and it's a crutch because you can't stay alive and play reckless.
-
I wish more of my friends had the damn self rez...
I like Voidwalker better! *dies* Can you come get me?
-
1 RespuestaSuper for noobs who can't stay alive
-
what bugs me the most is that they completely ignore that the same super has other uses, doesn't have to be a self res , not mention we could just flip to Voidwalker at the click of a cursor <_<
-
1 RespuestaI can't believe this is a legitimate complaint. Who cares if I self rez? Aren't we all in this together? (Excluding pvp obviously) When my fireteam is down in a nightfall and I use self rez to save us, is that not a good thing? I'm just confused as to why people complain about an advantage. And to be honest it's completely useless in pvp anyway, so don't even start that sh@t. If everyone stopped being a guardian, and started acting like gaurdians, Destiny would be a better place.

Lol Sunbros unite!
If you use self rez in a raid, its only benificial if ur proned to death.... so for a lvl 29 in the hardmode raid its great. If ur a suck 30 keep it up. But even the faster cooldown is better if ur not dying all the time. Proactive is better then reactive. PERIOD.
-
And all other classes do that kind of stuff without dying.
-
1 RespuestaWho really complains? Seems like you just wanted to talk about all the stuff you do lol
-
1 Respuesta*wipes tear from eye, staring into the sunset*

1 RespuestaNot every body hates on Sunsingers. Some Guardians, like myself, appreciate all classes and sub classes and consider every one a intricate part of a raid group (and yes I'm also talking about the BDs too) every Guardian is just as important as the Guardian standing proudly next to him. Let's end this " this class is useless" bull shit and have equality
