Clearly Bungie didn't implement actual skill based play modes without supers and heavy ammo? Noobs with k/ds lower than my grandma can even get kills.
Edit: I'd be happy for the supers to be disabled at least! heavy ammo isn't that bad I suppose. Or perhaps Heavy ammo is only given to the first player that gets it like Halo Reach so there's not 1000000 rockets blazing around.
Edit again: I don't care about control and the other modes I just want a mode with guns only is that too much to ask?. People just sit at the heavy ammo box with a cup of coffee and camp while letting there supers power up and they think they are good lol anyone can do that. I got a 12.5 K/D last night doing that, but that is not skill it is NOT smart it is cheap.

11 RespuestasIMO it's a problem of balance. For many of the supers there is simply no counter. A good example of balance is the bubble shield. If I have a golden gun I can take it out. There is a natural balance there. But if a Titan comes flying across the map and slaps the ground, I am dead and there is nothing I can do about it. The other problem is that special ammo spawns way too often. This creates a situation where players can use only their secondary and never have to use a primary at all. If ammo was scarce players would have to use these weapons strategically and we wouldn't be getting spammed by fusion rifles. My suggestion would be make it so you have say one super per match and dramatically reduce the amount of special ammo available. Ps. Wasn't trying to pick on Titans just using this as an example.

You forgot Fusion Rifles. I've been running what I call my "D-bag setup". Universal Remote and Perun's Fire. Shotgun Primary and Fusion Rifle secondary. People get maaaad lmao...

Oh look, it´s THIS post again... yaaaay....

2 RespuestasThe skill comes largely from utilising your radar, predicting enemy movements and learning when to retreat. A short time-to-kill puts more empasis on making the first move or knowing when an opponent may have an opportunity to get the drop on you. Manoeuvring yourself into advantageous positions and out of poor positions is key to victory in the crucible as far as I'm concerned and takes a lot of skill to do. Destiny rewards proactive more than reactive play. Games with high time-to-kill weapons and little or no radar allow more empasis on choosing how to react to an opponent and using dexterity to avoid taking fire while simultaneously keeping your opponent in your sights.

Sorry I used legitimate game mechanics to kill you

2 RespuestasI've noticed that 99% of players can't aim and rely on supers or heavy lol

1 RespuestaSee, the biggest fallacy you make here is assuming that this game is based around skill. It's not - it's all about catering to the casual market and making sure that the gap between the best players and the worst players never gets too great. That's why Destiny's loot system is based around RNG, because it gives EVERYONE a chance. Like it or not, this is a game for casuals, and skill does not apply...
-
When I don't want to deal with supers I play CS. No such thing as a definitive shooter. Each player to the game of their own liking.
-
It's made for casuals and as much as I hate it, get used to it. You get nothing in return for playing well, no incentive to win. I now drop my bubble in front of enemy players and dance.
-
Here's a secret. These things you're complaining about are things you yourself can do. So stop it already.
-
Watch out! ITT: badasses.

A guns only playlist would be cool. But when everyone has access to the same "no skill" kills, and you lose, it means you're even less skilled than no skill at all, doesn't it?

6 RespuestasMy only big gripe is the super bar constantly charging..... The amount of times I've been on a 15 kill streak only to get killed by a supeer from the bottom of the board player..... Supers should be performance based rewards.

3 RespuestasEditado por KidSixXx: 12/2/2014 2:10:23 PMWhy am I fighting to your strengths instead of my own? Why am I just using guns when I have grenades and throwing knives and these nifty powers given to me by the Traveler? If I have you dead bang at the business end of my MG or shotgun, then that is too bad. It is called warfare not war-fair. I am sure you would return the favor if the situation were reversed and after it is all said and done, we'd support each other out in the PvE world. The Fallen, Hive, and Cabal don't fight restrained so neither will I. You can also blame Bungie. Maybe if the Thorn EWB didn't call for Void Damage kills at the expense of dying, I wouldn't have to resort to crouch walking, shotgunning guys in blind turns, and haunting the Heavy Ammo spawn..

The skill is learning how to counter these things and learn to play with them rather then bitch about them all the time. put your big boy pants on before you PvP.
