strange urge to jump when nova bombing
Relatable? I always need to jump before, guess the subliminal trailer messages.
Edit: genuinely surprised by the outcome of this thread, it's brain washing man.

When using a super for my hunter, usually I get close to a group. I get behind cover activate it and say "surprise motherf#%ker". Just saying that makes my friends burst out laughing while I get a multikill.

1 RespuestaAs new voidwalkers mature, they start to develop new powers and abilities. Soon, they begin experimenting with their nova bombs, and start to jump before letting them fly. This is OK, it's something all voidwalkers do; you don't need to feel ashamed, it is natural and healthy.

Did goku ever commit to throwing a spirit bomb while sitting on the ground? I think not. It was 10-15 episodes while in the air!

I always have done that. You can't be badass when your feet are on the ground no, you have to -blam!-ing fly 10-15 feet in the air, quickly aim and then throw a sphere of pretty much solid dark matter into enemies in order to create either miniature "Air free" or "High Pressure" zones to destroy the faces of your enemies. Although I do have to admit, it may have been the trailers that made us want to do it as well.

i find that for some reason you automatically go airborne when you launch nova bomb, like a little hop, and i have no control over this hop like i'm sliding on ice. If i jump before i Nova i can control where i'm going to land better. ALSO easier distribution of AOE when nuking from above as opposed to threading the needle between enemies for the middle guy in the group when firing from the ground.

The non lance nova bomb has poor travel trajectory. Jumping provides a way to compensate for that

I almost always blink up or blink off to the side. Really throws people off and as long as you dont blink at a door itll clear you of obstacles

If you have the lance perk (don't remember if that's actually what it's called) then jumping is no good because it goes in a strait line.

Just like a rocket launcher, you want it to either hit the target(s) or near the target(s), which usually means aiming for the ground at their feet, for the splash damage. Jumping gives you the best angle. The warlock rises up off the ground regardless when you activate the special, but never high enough. Only time I don't jump is if there's no room, or there's a wall directly behind the target(s).

It might just be me, but it feels like you get a better line of sight for it especially in pve where you want it in the middle of a large crowd .

Well it makes sense that you would jump to get a better angle for the shot.
