which weapons for vog?
I'm a lv29 hunter looking to do the vault for the first time. Can anyone recommend what weapons are most useful?

1 RespuestaAny weapons you have maxed out, since you obviously don't have any raid weapons make sure your special or/both are void. I'd suggest using an auto rifle for the very first part though and then I usually switch to my scout rifle. Make sure you have a lot of ammo synthesis too

A good primary, a secondary with void damage, and a good upgraded heavy. Havr fun! I do honestly feel bad for you though. Your group is gonna go through it nice and quick. Knowing exactly what to do. Itll be fun but i miss the mystery of it and the fun of the whole group figuring it out together (even with guides) the first couple times. Im totally doing the next one blind the first time. But have fun!

I used suros as my primary until I got icebreaker. Ice breaker is priceless in the raid unless you have gjallarhorn. I prefer my void epitaph over praedyths revenge.

Since its your first time raiding we gotta leave the raid guns out. Id say suros van VIII or shadow price/grim citizen a void sniper and a void fusion or shotty up to you really. Then zombie for your heavy or truth or a maxed legendary rocket launcher(just dont use these in the bubble)

2 RespuestasAny good primary. I like the devil you know and shadow price personally. A scout rifle would do well also. A void fusion rifle for minotaurs and a high impact sniper for oracles and atheon. Void machine gun and rocket launcher. Most importantly make sure they're as upgraded as possible!

What weapons have you got? I switch up my gear depending on which part of the raid. Make sure all your weapons are maxed (or close to), but its not the end of the world if they aren't. I normally use a: Scout and or Auto Rifle / Void Fusion or Sniper / RPG and MG. Try and use void weapons if you got them :) Happy raiding!

I used the devil you know handcannon the first time I did it. A void heavy machine gun (the swarm) and some crapy blue fusion riffle (void).

I would recommend a void damage fusion gun as special weapon and a void damage LMG as heavy weapon. Use a good autorifle as primary weapon (Suros, Grim Citizen III or Vanquisher VIII will work well). Use the primary for the grunts and supplicants, the fusion for Minotaurs and Pretorians or when there is a lot of action, and the LMG for Minotaurs and Pretorians if the fusion takes too long, as well as for supplicants when there are too many of them or when they are charging you. If you are doing the raid well, no Vex will ever come close enough to a conflux to sacrifice itself. I only needed ammo synthesis in a raid during the Atheon part when I used my LMG a lot (so I obviously only needed heavy ammo).

Editado por Raider TCK: 11/24/2014 3:54:41 PMMy First raid I used: Grim Citizen (it was from an engram so had 3rd eye and field scout bringing the clip up to 42 rounds) Ice Breaker (not Void but eliminates any ammo issues) Zombie Apocalypse (solar) Now looking at it I did not have any Void weapons & was level 28 and I did not have many issues at all because I had a good team. 1 player had also done the raid before. Now if you have them I would recommend void weapons because of the praetorians. As this is your first raid you will not have access to raid weapons which are ideal, so I would go with this set up: Primary: Grim Citizen/The Devil you know/Vanquisher (whatever maxed out good legendary primary you are comfortable with) Secondary: Ideally a good void fusion rifle such as 77 wizard from the crucible vendor. Or a void sniper. Ice Breaker is solar but is still excellent as it eliminates all ammo concerns. Heavy: The Swarm (void) can be bought from the vanguard quartermaster. Truth (an exotic void rocket launcher) Xur has sold this twice. Or any other Void HMG or rocket launcher. Ultimately, at level 29, on normal difficulty, you probably will not have any issues what so ever. Find a good team, have fun. Enjoy, the raid is excellent with friends. On your first raid run you should get at least one raid weapon. These weapons are amazing for the raid. And with at least one I would highly recommend you level it up to 300/300 and use that.

2 Respuestas[b]OP is doing the raid for the first time. They don't have raid weapons guys.[/b] My first raid I ran Suros Regime, a legendary sniper and a legendary launcher. I would suggest doing normal. Because hard mode requires raid weapons for the most part because they do extra damage to oracles.

Get Void weapons for Praetorians (Fusion Rifles are best). Use Gunslinger. EDIT: Based on what Gear you have, I'd take time to get Timur's Lash up to level (at least pre-Ascendancy) or replace it for the Raid if you have better weapons. Icebreaker is great. Still recommend Void Fusion Rifle (buy the Iron Banner one and reforge, if you're up to rank 4). And like I said, trade for Gunslinger.

EDIT: For weapons I would take a void rocket launcher/heavy machine gun if you have it, an ice breaker (if you have it) or any other sniper rifle. For primary your options are open, I started the vault using my shadow price, but I now use handcannons and scout rifles primarily.

Bring a collection of the following all maxed out if possibe: Hand Cannon* Auto Rifle Scout Rifle Sniper Rifle ShotGun/Fusion Rifle* Rocket Launcher* LMG As for when to use each weapon, that depends on the team you are running with, either way all those will be helpfull to you. *denotes my preference from start up until atheon. Are you doing normal or hard first?

Since you dont have any raid weapons, bring an ice breaker if you have it and any other maxed out weapons you have. Its easy on normal so you should be fine. On hard is when you really need the raid weapons
