(Disclaimer: This is PvP related post)
We know its true..
Ask almost any Titan, we are underpowered, and to some degree "broke" (looking at you Catapault!)
We have no skillset to act as a crutch for a subpar player.
A poorly played Warlock or Hunter can fall back on a skillset to help him along. Ranged melee or easy to aquire sheilds, ranged specials to avoid the onslaught of CQC weapons, Blinks to enhance attacks or evade incoming fire, etc....the list of skills a Warlock/Hunter can utilize in PvP can boost up even the worst player.
A Titan has to rely on his skills as an FPS player first. His map knowledge, his skill with his chosen weapon, his.."trickery".
Melee avoidable by other classes by "taking a step back" An oversheild he must use his "must be in sneeze distance" melee to gain a kill to aquire. A special he must run into the fight to use, to which he routinely knows the feeling off eating shells before he lands it. A bubble most enemies see as a "Target to aquire mutikills!".
Did I mention the broke jump skill?
Cue the "Bu-Bu-But Shoulder Charge is soooo OP Mr. Titan"...
Yes, you died to it, maybe twice in a round, so its god like.
Did that Titan hit you from the front? Well then you must SUCK..cause us Titans know, 9 out of 10 times SC from the front means a death for us.
Yes shoulder charge is OP godmode cause a Titan took the time to get a running start, had a small window of time to land it, and he flanked you hitting you from the side or back...and to that I had to use that new thing all the kids are throwing aroud on these boards lately and say "Shut up Meg, Git Gud"
I myself am hardly a "great Titan" but I see those beast out there on the battlefield wrecking fools. My hats off to you. You guys are the true PvP beastmode players of the Crucible/IB
-
I salute you sir :) someone finally took a stand for the Titans!!! You should find me on xbox and let's put a Titan squad together and wreck kids online.
-
What it really comes down to is people try to use every class in the crucible when they shouldn't not everybody is good with all classes. I personally have one of each and I'd personally play with either my warlock or my titan. I don't really care for the Hunter class but I do know how to use it. Just because somebody excels using one class doesn't mean it's broken it just that class may be their favorite class so they use it all the time. I personally have no problem dealing with any class in the crucible nor do I find any subclass having a better set then others because they all have their weakness.
-
Nah. You just have to adjust the way you play. Every class excels with their skill set. Just gotta use em right.
-
I think the hunter gunslinger class takes the most skill tbh. Bladedancers usually just blink and shotgun and super, but gunslingers have perks they only get with precision kills, they have a super that takes an animation before activating and you are not given a defense bonus during this animation or your super at all. You don't have a float or jet pack or blink you have a triple jump. Throwing knives are not 1hk even with precision shots, oftentimes the DoT dmg perk does not work, and they provide no shield for hitting enemies, no speed boost, no bonus at all. Sure it's ranged and you can possibly have 2 if you get the right perk, but titans and warlocks can have 2 grenades which is something id much rather have.

2 RespuestasEvery class is great if you know what your doing the titan in this case has the lightning grenades and if you know how to use them you can get a lot of kills with that

5 RespuestasEditado por Get2DaChoppa81: 12/28/2014 9:03:01 PMYeah. No. Titan is the easiest of easy modes in crucible. Pop bubble. Dance. Kills come to you. Rinse, repeat. Oh... Another Titan is sprinting at your bubble carefree? Jump out of your bubble. Cuz he's about to drop a fist.

1 RespuestaEditado por Ronin Tanuki: 12/28/2014 8:45:31 PMI'll just say this: anyone who's been to a crucible match recently can attest that almost every game is mostly hunters and warlocks. Seriously, if you see a titan you should take a picture, it's like Big Foot at this point (I'm sure the picture will come out blurry). Why do you suppose this is? It makes the kill 25 Titans bounty one of the hardest to get!
-
Im Titan biased but will agree that the shoulder charge is Op. and i say that not because of its one hit kill in the crucible but because you can set it up for instant regeneration. Destiny does balance this by makon him able to shot gunned when close. also the time it takes to activate and the time it lasts. in the Iron Banner, if the enemies defense is high enough the shoulder charge WILL NOT ONE HIT THEM, making them extremely vulnerable. so there is balance. yes its OP when you use it properly but skilled players will rarely give you the chance. The Striker Smash can also be countered by shotgun and other abilites but like the other offensive supers it has to be somewhat Op. like the Nova Bomb, The Golden Gun and the Blade Dance. all can be Op when used right but all can be stopped. My defense for the Titan is not thats its underpowered but that its underestimated, under appreciated and underrated. I also stand by the fact that it shares less abilites and perks than the other two classes. It cant resurrect itself, it does not have a ranged super, it doesnt havev a berzerk mode (although it should lol) its melee is not ranged, its shield can only be acquired upon successful kills, theres no perks for kills besides the shield and no DoT. the only thing it has diff is a regenerating shield however is near useless in PvP. This is not a complaint against other classes or a Titan player saying Titans are better. just a player being fair about how the Titan stands against the other favored classes. Titans are the minority in Destiny despite what you read or hear and thats ok because on their own they do just fine and with a team theyre extremely dependable.

3 RespuestasHunter takes the most skill, its all precision. Warlock and titans in comparison, not so much.

Omfg (looking at you catapult )
-
But but but, I'm a defender
-
13 RespuestasThere are 3 game modes Easy : hunter Normal : warlock Hard/Elite : titan Come at me huntards.
-
That's cute. I'll remember that when I see 50% of Titans kills come from shoulder charge and panic fist
-
5 RespuestasEasy: Warlock Normal: Hunter Hard: Titan Even though I'm my main class is a hunter, I think Titans take the most skill cause they are based upon defence.
-
There's no skill in destiny period
-
2 RespuestasTitans as a skill class... Ok but the most embarrassing thing to do as a Titan is stick up a bubble inside of the relic holder's shield. Why do people always do that when you ask them to put WoL on the platform?
-
3 RespuestasCan you panic golden gun or bladedancer? No but a Fist of Havoc and Ward of Dawn can be panicked.
-
I agree completely. The Titan's skills and abilities require cold calculation and flawless execution. A Hunter can activate their Super and run around the map for ten seconds, destroying anyone in their path. A Warlock can do the exact same with rapid-fire grenades. Warlocks also have a long-distance Fist of Havoc that can be actually be bigger than Fist of Havoc. The Titan is the most underpowered of the three. We have to rely on our aim and make due with what lack-luster abilities we've been given. The Titan takes skill.
-
I simply love all of the "Fist of Panic" comments. Truly an underpowered class if the only thing going for it is the super.
-
Your saying titans take more skill because you get your as beat for being trash in PvP
-
Titans are the easiest noob friendly class...
-
"Titan smash. Titan punch. Me like fist. Titan boom. Titan panic." The titan class is built to be brain dead. At least warlocks have to aim their super and can't use it as a panic button. So no, it doesn't take the most skill.

2 RespuestasEditado por Backhand Snipe: 12/28/2014 8:32:54 PMI'm a titan and I entirely disagree. If anything I feel very over powered most of the time. (Except when I see a bald dancer, Jesus. ) In one game I killed at least 10 people with shoulder charge. It was hilarious. Fist of havoc is outrageous. You don't have to worry about missing your target, and your almost guaranteed a multikill. Plus, if you have armor of light+shotgun+saint14 you are practically invincible. I can't tell you how many times people just run into my bubble and BOOM down. It's also hilarious to see a whole team in control, jump over them and then summon my bubble. They go mad. Haha. Titans also have a mad jump. I love it. It has the height I need as well as the gliding to stabilize. Hunters just jump like crazy and warlocks glide way to much. Titans are the most OP class in the game for me.
-
All classes have their ups and downs. I have yet to try Warlock but in my knowledge of Hunters and Titans I have found that if used correctly, be better than any Suros or Icebreaker
-
"Oh I just had a brilliant idea! I should plop down my bubble on objective B and sit inside it with a shotgun for the next minute. Good work, me. Excellent idea." -every titan that doesn't use Fists of Panic.
