I think it's kinda silly that you can get level 30 now just by joining Iron Banner matches all week. You're going to be on a winning team eventually. You'll get rep you did nothing for. Then you can BUY gear that gets you to level 30 with GLIMMER??
Slap in the face to the raiders out there. Level 30 should be reserved for those who have conquered the hardest content you have to offer. Now it's being given away like out of style clothing.
I understand there are those who haven't received raid gear after multiple clears but maybe this could be solved by token drops and a raid vendor.
The answer was NOT giving away level 30 through crucible.

Irrelevant since level 32 will be rolling out soon

Okay dude it's better to have more level thirties that make things easier for everyone cool yourself that was one of te few good things in this patch and you do realize you can only get boots and gloves not a whole set!
-
1 exotic. 1 piece of raid gear. 2 IB pieces. Wah lah. Level 30. Easy peasy.
-
The raid drops gear?!

Why don't you "put in some work" in the Iron Banner? Oh wait... You don't like PVP? Just like some pvp'ers don't like to raid? But they shouldn't be able to get to 30 right? (Not like they can with 2 pieces of gear anyway). That's just way too absurd. Listen to yourself man! Do you see the problem with your post?? Especially since you only PVE which is COOPERATIVE and having another teammate who is level 30, whether or not they obtained that through the raid or IB, would only HELP you.

I must be a rare breed i love PvP and PvE! Both bring diversity to the game and raises your skill in one area or another. PvE teaches tactic but gets repetitive PvP teaches reaction but gets tiresome The list can go on for both groups. Combining both skills makes you a better all around FPS player. Destiny is a rare game where i do both. Also note rare means there are other games out there as well.

I don't have a problem with other people being level 30. I love having 5 other 30s to run the hard raid with. All I'm saying is. There is no need to be level 30 in crucible. Iron Banner has level perks so that'll be over in week and your PVP level won't matter anymore. Again. Being level 30 means you're an experienced raider. In MOST cases. There are always exceptions to everything. My post simply disagrees with there being raid equivalent armor that can be earned via winning or losing Iron Banner matches. Along with glimmer. However. The DLC will be here soon enough and those that were once at the top will return to the top and then the cycle will start over. Crucible babies crying because they can't hit 32. Rinse and repeat.
-
Being level 30 means you got lucky, nothing more.
-
Editado por JetEyeKnight: 11/18/2014 5:57:13 PMNo it doesn't. People got all sorts of free raid gear and weapons by cheesing or getting free checkpoints. Levels mean NOTHING!
-
No offense, but you just contradicted yourself as well as didn't disprove my main point. IB is the reason PVP'ers desire to hit 30. Level now plays a huge factor in IB and I'm sure this isn't the last time it will be around. It will be back in regular rotation with other events. Otherwise, my main point is you mainly play PVE so why have qualms with others being lvl 30?? You're worried you'll accidentally mistake a lvl 30 who received some of their gear (I emphasize SOME since you still can't hit 30 for solely playing IB) for being good at the raid? Lol. I don't think I have to point out how ridiculous that is.
-
I feel like a player should be able to choose a PvP or a PvE route, as is the case with most games set up like this. I think this was a well-placed decision on their end for once. That's just me.
-
They advertised becoming legend in your own way. Before this patch it was "Only become legend by doing this raid" This gives people the opportunity to reach 30 in other ways.
-
Great post and I feel the same way. But remember, they're only releasing like 2 level 30 items. So it's still impossible for IB players to reach 30 without raiding.
-
Oh boy, another Earner post. Frankly, you folks are driving me insane. I've done the raid since the week it came out, and have gotten nothing but the boots. Even if I make it through IB, I'm still screwed out of level 30 because I have no raid armor, because RNG is RNG, and there's nothing we can do to change that.
-
Return to ye bridge, troll. There be no billy goats here.
-
Just did the raid for like the sixth time on my warlock and still no raid gear now we ccan actually earn some decent gear. Don't forget we're still gonna have to raid to get to 32 in a few weeks
-
Well what if you couldn't do the raid? You wouldn't be level 30 or level 29 they would be level 28. So then you turn to the crucible and get your levels back
-
in other words a slap to pve players. i mean they took away all from us to please pvp players, starting from nerf to vex and pocket infinity, now they nerfed the plan c and ice breaker and gave away the raid gear. And all to please the pvp community and shit on us pve'rs
-
You still have to do the raid. It only gives two pieces of lvl 30 armour, the other two are needed from the raid. We don't have anything else to spend glimmer on, and you wouldn't get enough crucible marks for the week.
-
I have a level 30, I go with the same strike team every week. We have been 8 times, no one else got to level 30 only me because I am the luckiest. They also deserve to be 30 they are good dedicated players who have had no luck with RNG.
-
Agreed 100% I have some of my friends in the same situation and I will be pumped to see them at level 30.. From now on when someone posts "earned" it should autocorrect it to "was extremely lucky and got"
-
RNG is not earned, 12 raids completed, only a single piece of raid gear ever, and never an exotic by RNG. Their system is broken for some of us.
-
That's why I mentioned a raid vendor that awards raid completions with items available through purchase by raid tokens.
-
Cry about it more. Not every body can or wants to raid. We shouldn't be forced to raid to get to 30 because you think it's unfair. I personally think it's fine, but there should be a difference in pvp gear and raid gear. I have only done the raid twice and couldn't beat it the second time. I probably won't even play destiny this week because I got DA:I. But the next time, I will do iron banner and get the 30 gear.
