Tell me your dumbest moment in Destiny. I will start...
I got some ugly boots in my first raid and dismantled them later that night because I didn't know it was that famous 'raid gear'. I learned that the next day...
Sad but true.
Did somebody do something similair or worse?
Edit 1: good sharing guardians, fun reading some of your stories haha. Best ones are deleting a very high lvl character by accident and the guy trying to open the VoG spire with his ghost lol.
Edit 2: 1500+ replies!! We all suck! Well sometimes...
Edit 3: great how this thread is still alive and trust me, I also did some of the same dumb stuff you guys told me here haha.

Playing the nightfall seeing a glitched servitor shot in the ground that looks like a legendary engram but then it explodes and sends be to orbit... Servitors are such trolls

I was near the bottom of the clip and ran out of bullets, the reload was taking forever so tried switching to secondary (still running backwards..) but had already emptied that clip and not reloaded previously, switch to heavy but no ammo (still running backwards.. and now going down the stairs), switch back to primary (why is this reload so slow?!), as a last ditch attempt I use my throwing knife and miss at which point I run of the edge of the map backwards.. Smooth!

3 RespuestasI dismantled 2 gallahorns at level 22 when I looted a truth and was desperate for shards had no idea the power of GALLAHORN and wanted to max out truth because of the void damage thinking it would be more useful In Vog iv spent at least 100 Hours play time since trying to re attain One :(

Was the last person alive in the nexus nightfall a couple of months ago. We were sniping from the ledge and we weren't vigilant enough for the Minotaur that spawns. I was on my hunter and I had just emptied my clip as the Minotaur was closing in on melee range. I threw my knife and he had just a sliver of health left, I threw my grenade and it stuck to his chest and exploded in my face... Trip mine...

1 RespuestaKilled a warlock in Crucible. Round just had a few seconds left so I decided to dance over the warlock's corpse. Well, uh, apparently had self-revive so he self-resurrected and shot me down with Invective....... Quite humiliating. I'm sure that was very satisfying for that one, lucky warlock.....

Atheon fight, teleported to venus, we all shoot down the steps killing the adds then start shooting oracles, just as we start going blind someone says "did anyone grab the relic?"

When I was doing my first raid, we opened the vault door. Everyone got on their sparrows, and I followed. Little did I know that when I boosted into the vault, there was a giant cliff. I plummeted to my death. We still laugh today!

There's always the "jump over a gap, engage gg/arc blade, proceed to soar right past the landing and off a cliff. But what I think is still my favorite was a defend the warsat. I thought I'd be the cool guy that stands on top of the warsat in the moth yards and crams a rocket up some captain's bum, so my three shot unfriendly giant and I load up. I know you can just shoot the skiff and watch bodies drop but I was feeling sporting. Rocket one, devastation. Rocket two, devastation 2 electric boogaloo. Rocket three hits one of those skinny spines on the warsat and blows me to pieces. Watch out up there

Similar to you story one of my friends had the raid helmet, boots, and gloves. He didn't know that you needed them to be lvl 30 and he dismantled the boots and gloves but I talked to him and stopped him before he did it with the helmet too. I don't know how you could do the hard raid and not know you need them to be lvl 30.

I set a tripmine grenade down in a crucible match and three or so seconds later I forgot it was mine and I shot it to clear the way for the team, but ended up killing myself .___.

I don't know if it's dumb but yesterday in crucible I was going for a rocket launch on b in control. As I turn the corner to fire I see my first victim a Titan throwing a grenade at me. I continue to strafe and fire my rocket. Well my rocket impacted the grenade perfectly which at this point was a couple feet away from me. The good news it didn't count as a kill for the other team but still I felt pretty dumb and honestly confused
