You're just mad because I have two sets of Raid Gear on one character :I [spoiler](This part is a joke, for you dry ass people, not a serious comment)
[/spoiler]It's not based on luck alone though... It's mostly based on luck and [b]they should implement a system that rewards effort[/b], but saying that 30's just got lucky is silly. I know all of the fights for the Raid and can handle my own doing whatever needs to get done so you best believe that I earned my gear by the game's standards.

Of course I got lucky, but I did something to get lucky. Much like your example, you earned the luck of the draw by purchasing a ticket to the lottery. I'm going to bold a part on my OP because people overlook everything on these forums.

Luck is when I could run around killing level 2 Dregs and get a Legendary engram but at the same time complete the Raid on hard and get nothing. Which is exactly what Destiny is like. It should be tiered such that killing level 2s gives a lower chance of getting legendaries while high end raids give you more chance of getting legendaries. Instead they are both pretty much on a par. I have never done the Raid. I am not interested and never will do it or any of them in future. Yet I have still picked up at random about five or six legendary engrams. That is not the way the game should play. You should be rewarded for playing hard raids. Not get completely lucky when you just happened to kill a low level enemy. No reasonable person wants the game to just hand out exciting armour and weapons when you haven't earned them but in converse you also want to feel like you are being rewarded when you do do high level missions. In Destiny you get the same level of reward for everything you do which makes the entire feeling of reward pointless. Why bust my ass in the raid for example when I can run around in Patrol and kill low level enemies with no skill required and get just as many legendaries? Or just wait each week for Xur to come out and hand out the best weapons like candy? Busting you ass for no increased reward doesn't make you better it makes you a muppet. Why do you think people were using the cave so much? Because it made getting armour and weapons faster. Why bust your ass in a high end raid when you can get just as much stuff (minus the raid gear) by shooting into a hole?

I agree that the system sucks ass but I had to be good to get my Raid gear to level up to 30. No one carried me, I was present on a weekly basis for the gear so saying that lvl 30s just got lucky is silly. I didn't cheese by the way so lets get that out of the way now.

They might be struggling to get to level 29 putting in their 300th hour and you are strutting around at max level and less time played. That is the point. Many people are getting totally spit roasted by the stupid RNG system. Like in PvP someone has a monster of a round. They kill 30 people and have like 5 deaths and get a blue cape. Someone else with 5 kills to 20 deaths comes out and get handed an exotic. Did they earn their exotic as well just because they were part of the same broken system?
