As a female Destiny player I am finding that sexual harassment is a growing issue, especially in the tower. From the first week Destiny came out, I have experienced harassment ranging from receiving messages of a sexual nature (to the point of having to block people to get them to stop) to having groups of characters surround and hump my character (moving does nothing, as they follow me around the tower and continue until I leave the tower).
Obviously Bungie can't control the players. I get that. But when I report the players for sick behavior like this, the most I can report them for is being "unfriendly." Can we get a specific sexual harassment option for times like this?
Edit: Judging by the responses to my post, the harassment is not just in game. I'm getting plenty on here, and I anticipate I'll have plenty of similar messages when I log into the game later. Speaking out has made me more of a target, and I expected that. This is exactly the reason so many women choose not to speak out against this kind of behavior.

Deej and Bungie doesn't care about you, all they care about is money

It's fortunate, as many friends as I've made over my years gaming I've never met any A-hole like those you've had to tolerate. Sadly I think it is a sign of the times. Gamers like the most who have never been given any level of education on how men and women should communicate. I hope you have reported them to Msoft for these actions. I'm just hoping Msoft would do something about them. Personally I would trust anyone from Bungievision to do anything about it. I don't think they have the intelligence, ethical or moral standards to do the right thing in any circumstances, let alone in a serious one like this one.

I'm a male gamer and get messages all the time my randoms I just block them. Btw the tower stuff really like really just ignore it or grow up you should know now that people on a video game are going to be immature

Thats fu%$-d people should be more respectful, play nice everyone is here to have fun. Should not be making anyone feel uncomfortable.
-
Go back to Bejeweled then, if you think you deserve special treatment then go away. Oh and tell Deegay to F off to because we hate him.

18 RespuestasSame here. I usually get tea bagged because of my gamertag. People shouldn't care whether females play this game. I just wanna play a god damn game without being harassed.

Tell em you're a dude. I use all female characters and never gotten any messages like this. Or challenge them to a rumble match and beat them

Editado por Blood And Rank: 10/24/2015 11:47:33 PMI enjoy the options to block and mute people when I get hate mail. I've personally attacked ragers to the core for even bothering to send me something ignorant. But hey. We've all got freedom of speech. Cyber bullying is FED by online competition. If deej were so adamant about protecting women gamers or anyone for that matter, he'd address the content that instigates the hatred. Those nasty words that people share over gameplay.. They're all manifestations of the virtual content Bungie has created. All human manifestation is captured and held in a psychological black hole when vibrations are devoted and invested into a "game". Black magic is found at the heart of corruption. If we don't stop them now, the vex will seize our worlds. Not the physical worlds, but the worlds that overlap, to create this dimension.

Do what I do delete messages and block people.

Seriously. I played on my girlfriends when I was over and ran a pvp. I kicked a guys butt and I got hate mail saying some pretty nasty stuff. She hides the fact from me but seriously there should be harder punishment for this crap. It's stupid she can't enjoy the game cause dumb little boys can't handle their shit.

As a man and fellow gamer, I apologize for any negative comments you are receiving at the hands of these assholes. My advice, forums are toxic everywhere, so this is sadly the norm. Follow my path and ignore it
-
A lot of these people playing barely have a real life in the real world. Destiny is where those people feel elite. Report the ignorant ones. Stay strong in the fact that you're a good gamer. Ignore the ignorant rhetoric.

Happens to me all the time, people start a tbagging match.

Editado por DeltaZulu77: 10/24/2015 10:52:09 PMPlayers mobbing you and standing up and then crouching is sexual harassment? How? I thought it was a silly thing that just randomly occurred. But seriously, how? As an EEO officer in my trade union I would dread being responsible to listen to your case were you a part of my CBU. As for the messages, block and report. You are part of the Internet, ambiguous jerks are out there.
-
You get sexually harassed online. Big whoop. Block em if it's that much of an issue. Harassment isn't a game issue its a people issue. Learn to ignore it. If you can't do that then just stay off of the internet. Men also get harassed. But you know what happens to men more than you women online? Actual bullying. Not some harassment. But threats and insults. Yet we realize us the Internet where people let out their inner demons and we get over it. Stop making your problems bigger than they are.

HEY just letting you know it's not just you it's a way to see who is ballsy to group with people nothing offensive
-
People teabag without regard to your gender, race, sexuality or anything else. It's not an attack on you, it's just a thing people do
