Hey we're Bungie. we do our maintenance at peak hours!
Why not do this stuff at 2 am like every other MMO?

What? just because you might play mostly at those hours doesn't make it peak hours! And Do you even know what the peak hours are?

2 a.m. is way more of "peak" time then 8 a.m.....Most people have lives where they go to work or school in the morning! No matter what game you play I can guarantee there are more people online at 2 am then at 8 am

2 RespuestasLol peak hours hahaha get a job or Goto school for -blam!- sake. I'm in Australia 15hours ahead and its 9.45am Friday and I've been at work for 4 hours and will be for another 5. By the time I get home it's done and dusted. And to rub it in a little bit more for you whining little babies the Tuesday 2am reset is actually 8pm my Tuesday night for me so I can do the weekly, daily and bounties before 8pm then after 8 I can do them all again. Made 27coins in 2 hours thanks to the weekly, nightfall and weekly again after reset. Don't like your time zone then move or shut up there's more than one time zone in the world.

Peak hours are not 8 am to 12 noon bud.

Because that's when bungie employees are scheduled to be at work like everyone else in America? Why would they pay half the building to do overtime and stay until 4am?

Bungie works on the west coast so they are PST timezone. They are pushing the updates while they are there to fix anything unexpected that might happen. If they pushed an update and broke stuff and then was down for 12 hours you would probably be one of the first to complain. 8am-12pm PST is not considered peak times. Evenings and weekends are peak time.

How is peek hours 8 am on a Thursday morning? They gotta do it at some point. I think Thursday morning is better than Friday night.

Peak time here in the UK too. Why on Earth would they choose to do maintenance at this time? Most European and American players would be on Destiny at this moment if not for the maintenance.

Please be aware, Destiny is played globally. It'll always be peak hours some where. It was morning their time, assuming most folks are in school or work, seems best for their schedule. Can't please everybody. Be glad maintenance is taking place.
