Head Injury - Fate of All Fools
Gonna be honest.
Why does he get this, and nobody else?
Plenty of people on this forum have experienced tragedy or serious injury. You don't hear them crying about it.
"DeeJ, I lost my arm because of a lathe at work. Can I get an exotic?"
Don't get me wrong, I'm sorry that he had to go through what he did. But did he earn that weapon? No. Did he deserve it more than anyone else? No.
So why did he get it? I had a serious accident 4 years ago. Was touch and go as I was unconscious for 4 days, but I am now perfectly fine. Do I get an exotic, DeeJ?
Treat everyone equally. If you give one person something for something, you better make damn sure that others get something too. Because we've all been through shitty things. Doesn't mean we deserve anything for it.
Edit: Sorry if I offended some people. But you're right, I am entitled. Paying £45 for a game in which a gun that is yet unreleased someone already has.
We should already be able to get it. But Trials of Osiris was cut from the game. So I AM entitled to it.

You do know they only pulled it till a later date right? Why is it such a big deal he got it early? Be happy for the guy. Bungie did a generous thing here. Picture this, a very small amount of people actually win the lottery out of millions of other people. Does this mean just because you played, you should get a reward as well? No. So why are you getting upset that a man got something from Bungie as a get well gesture. He got lucky out of millions of players. Let him enjoy it.

Dude, it's just a game. Brain cancer is no joke and if Destiny is the only way he can recover, then let him have it. After what he has been through, this "pick-me-up" was probably one of the better things he's seen recently. There is no need to rant over a gun in a game and there is especially no need to treat the multiple surgeries that he endured as if they were nothing. It also annoys me how entitled people are today. "I play the game for hours and hours, yet this ONE guy who had to go through many surgeries for a life threatening illness, and is then told that Destiny and other video games are required to sharpen his cognitive functions, gets a free exotic! This is an atrocity!" This is what I've pretty much seen on the forums so far and it's really annoying. I'm not saying that the OP is doing this, but other people are.

Can you please tell me how old you are? Cause reading your story sounds like your age is around "Mom! Why do you give him a Cookie!? I want a Cookie too!!!" You´ve paid 45 Bucks for a Game where you already knew what would happen and that there will be DLCs released. Because we have Internet today and between the P0rn and Ads you have the option to get some Information before buying something. And why do you cry for a shortcut? You don´t want to play the Game? Cause that´s what you have to do to get the Gun instead of complaining about how short the game is.
