There are a lot of different opinions out there about what could be changed to improve this game we all enjoy. Aside from the story, which can't really be fixed via patch at this point, here are the ones I think most people would agree that would help the most:
1) DITCH THE RNG: Randomness is not the answer to everything. Stop using it altogether. RNG loot is a horrible system if you don't allow player trading. Most of us see this as nothing more than a cheap mechanic to pad playtime. This frustrating loot system disheartens some players to the point of giving up on the game altogether.
2) Stop with the upgrade materials: Get rid of ascendant materials and especially the planetary farming materials as requirements for gear upgrades. Gathering these is not fun. Again, stop trying to pad playtime, it is mind numbingly boring.
3) Fix Raid glitches: At this point, this is pretty inexcusable. The loot cave is patched in a day and baby bumpers go up in a week or so, but closing in on 3 months after release and there are still TONS of bugs/glitches that can ruin your raid run, especially at the Atheon fight. There are tons of threads listing these out.
4) Trading: I understand there are valid concerns about eBay farmers or unbalancing the player economy, but there are ways you can limit the trading to help combat those issues. Allow trading only with players you complete a certain number of raids/strikes with, or just friends, or some other limitation. Only trade items of the same rarity. Etc. A system like this would greatly alleviate the pain of the RNG loot drops. I have personally received four, yes four, Thunderlord MGs. I would have loved to trade those out for other items I have not yet been able to obtain.
5) Stop Nerfing Everything: With the exception of the Mythoclast, no weapons in this game have needed a nerf at all. And please, if you MUST nerf things for PvP reasons, don't carry those changes over to PvE. Does anyone ever use a shotgun in PvE now? I recently received a Mythoclast but it pales in comparison to even legendary ARs (yes, I know a buff of some kind is supposed to be coming), but I'm just listing another example of going overboard.
These are what I perceive to be the 5 most commonly mentioned issues that your fans would like to see addressed.
DeeJ - I am genuinely interested in what YOUR opinion is on these issues, not what Bungie's opinion is, not what the PR talking points say, or what you are or are not taking into the dev meetings. Please let me know YOUR thoughts on these.
Thanks!

The vex deserves to be overpowered its the hardest gun to get in the whole game
-
farming materials is annoying and I think they should allow us to buy a bulk of them instead but god rid of upgrading with ascendents?Seriously? That would make the game even more bland than it already is. Terrible idea

Look, it is really quite simple to see what is going on here.. You have a mixing of play styles all clashing together and nothing that gets changed is going to sit well with everyone, for those rpg mmo folks, player economy and trade are always considered a must when farming & rng are present, personally i think if you have to farm and spend decades grinding for mats then a profession and auction house would be apprecitated. Then you got your fps pvp lovers who want everything now and up front, and can stand a bit of grinding but aren't quite patient enough for whats being attempted by destiny, and the truth is both sides have decent points if you can sift through all the QQ'ng and needless rambling about nerfs, buffs, speeder color, too big, too small and the numerous war crys of "i didn't get full raid gear with my first two runs!" And to be honest the biggest two problems i have seen are glitches galore and way too repetitive, if you have a game where a ton of farming is involved there simply has to be more content and adding an event with shiney new titles but the same ol missions is not gunna cut it, i.e. queens wrath. So fix the bugs and put a bit of focus into pve, not all of us like the pvp play from bungie anyways.

20 RespuestasPeople that appreciate RPGs enjoy upgrading stuff and farming. It's all part of the process. This isn't a standard FPS and it shouldn't be. The only thing I agree with is fix the raid glitches. Everything else would not benefit the game. Bungie explained no trading...they want everyone to build their own characters and earn their way. Random stuff = hope I'm lucky. If I get something stupid and my bf gets something amazing, he points and laughs, and I wait for the opposite to happen. It's funny to me. A reason to make fun of friends.

15 RespuestasDee Jay for the love of god don't listen to this guy he really needs cod not destiny. Apart from glitches. Rng is quite standard in this type of game and if you want guarantees collect what ever currency n buy what you want. Needing n buffing should continue as it shows us they are watching and keeps the game changing as today's overpowered weapon of death is tomorrow's average Joe and vice versa it also prevent everyone having he same weapon to.an extent. Trading is good in some games but would not work in destiny as there is not enough content with weapons and armour as everyone is after raid armour n only 10 or so exotics at the moment so what would people trade as most players with double exotics don't really need anything apart from rare occasions. And if they do need something it's normally the one thing that there playing for at the moment.

And give the Voidfang Vestments a break.

2 RespuestasOh man I need so many damn helium filaments and I absolutely hate patrolling the moon. Bump.

Furthermore, RNG is fine, they just need to find a way to separate it. There's enough weapons, they just need to put a list to each strike even with uniques obviously at the hardest tiers and give everyone atleast some kind of guarantee.
-
They can stop nerfing all together if they allow players to attain resistances. I'm not just talking weapon nerfs, there have been class nerfs too. If there was a way to build your character to survive a nova bomb because you feel that's the bane of all existence. Then by all means. You up your void resistance. Doesn't mean you won't have to worry about arc solar and kinetic

9 RespuestasI think patrol material can stay, if they make the patrols entertaining

1 Respuesta1 and 2 I don't mind as I've played a lot of RPGs in my time, and while the complete RNG system does bug me a little, I feel it would be perfectly ok to keep so long as trading was implemented. To use a personal example: A few days ago I went into the raid with some friends. Two of them need the chest, I need the boots and any of the weapons. At templar, I get two chest pieces, one friend gets his 3rd epilogue, and the other gets his 4th boots. The weapon and armor pieces end up all being dismantled as none of use have any use for them, and we simply don't have room to store items that are of no use to us. (Vault capacity is another major issue with this game brought on by lack of trading). As for the material farming: Like I said, I don't mind it personally, but I do think there should be other ways to obtain the mats needed for our upgrades. Add a small amount for completing strikes on the respective planet is an idea I've seen tossed around a lot. Basically, give us other options to get to our goals so it doesn't feel like we're being told how to play. Everything else I agree with.

sure i still love Destiny but there is NO story!

I actually don't think that you are thinking it through folks: storylines don't - necessarily - have to be contiguous. It seems to me (and I may be wrong and may just be overly optimistic) that we've 'dropped' into the story at a certain point with a certain amount of information and yes, quite naturally, we want to find out more. Well, perhaps the 'more' is coming through the continued DLC's and the back story (as it were) will be filled as we go along? Just a though - and a hope! (That last bits for the folk at Bungie 😊) All only my opinion BTW

5 RespuestasThis post sucks. No trading. I like farming chests. Mytho needs a buff. Random loot is a hook for players. Basically OP go play another game because you don't seem to fit well with this one.
