-Burning Bridges-
This week we learned how to make the community even unhappier by changing yet again how they play our game.
• Connection Issues
Another successful patch, that proved that not only are our servers broken, but that we can make them even shittier, with very little effort.
After reading feedback, we have concluded that the connection issues must be due to users configuration or internet connection
and really only effects a very tiny, fraction of small, less than .000001 % of our users. We have done well can.
• Zero shit
We have successfully maintained our zero shit given policy toward actual issues for the sixth straight week and are happy to say that cookies were handed out in the office along with a gold star to our very best ZSG member, Deej - congrats!
• DLC
We have also been working hard and were very excited to detail this week, our first DLC!!
Which will be bringing you content that you... probably should have already had, but we couldn't have charged you twice for if it had been included at launch!
At least you will have something to add to your christmas wish list!
• PVP
This week, we have announced more exciting PVP themed changes and events, as we known that the over all majority of our player base love PVP.
Our data shows that only a very tiny, fraction of small, less than .000001 % of our users, like or enjoy PVE.
What a coincidence that number matches those with connection issues. Exactly why we are comfortable in writing them off
• Community events and rewards
We always strive to take an unbiased approach in all we do here at Bungie.
which is why we continue to host PVP Hunts, bounties in an attempt to try reach out and connect with all our Destiny players across all platforms.
This week, we were excited to announce another such PVP Bounty, for users in PS4. We would host one of these events for the other platforms, but as it turns out - all of our PVP guys own only a Playstation 4.
We have added ordering the other consoles we support for our staff to our To-Do List.. and hope to have these same events in the future for anyone still playing on an XBOX by Christmas.
-------------------------------
Again, continue to post your feedback and voice your concerns Guardians, we promise we are here listening to you and we are not laughing at all.
We look forward to continued success with our community and Destiny well into 2015 and beyond!

The reason I play more pvp is because I've done the story 3 times and grinded rep and still run the weeklies. Not much for me to do but pvp. :/

Strangely....this turned me on.

They need to get rid off random teleport on atheon, there's no strategy anymore.. It's know everything or die..
-
Yeah, god forbid people should actually know how to play the -blam!-ing game
-
Now take what I have to say worth a grain of salt (Since I have yet to play the raid), but that seems a little absolute of you to say. Wouldn't it be better all around if you have one group you play and coordinate with? Having a specific role in the raid feels like it would be more comfortable to me.
-
Raids are supposed to be challenging. They reward players with the best gear in the game. If there are 6 players doing a raid, and they all have the same odds of getting great gear, why should only three of them be doing the things in the raid which are the most challenging? Because they are better at it then you are? There's nothing hard or strategy-shattering about the random teleporting. You always have one specific role during the raid: kill stuff. The details of that role change, but not the role itself. If you get teleported, then you kill Oracles. If you don't get teleported, then you kill supplicants. If you get teleported and you have the shield, you kill Minotaurs or Hobgoblins and Cleanse your teammates occasionally. If you're having trouble learning how to use the Relic, then one possible solution is to learn how to use it during the Templar fight, where there is practically no pressure to fail.
-
While the random teleport is far from game ruining, it is anti noob in that during that fight if a new player is teleported and doesnt know what they are doing, they can screw up the run for everybody and cause the team to wipe. This seems to widen the gap that already exists between new players and seasoned veterans, not to mention that there are some people who are simply incapable of playing certain roles. Nobody wants to have the level 26 or 27 that is still figuring out what to do in he portal, but everyone wants the 28+ whose already done the raid 7+ times. I dont really care about it, because im in the 28+ group thats unaffected, but for others it is truly frustrating.

Using the Relic becomes easier with experience. I don't think anyone was a pro the first time that they picked up the Relic. With that said, I think that the reason why the random teleporting is such a big deal for "noobs" is because people who don't know how to use the Relic don't WANT to learn how to use the Relic. Every Tuesday I do the raid with my three characters and a random group of people. And every time that we get to the last part, no one wants to grab the Relic because they say "they aren't good with it" or they don't know how to use it. Tell me this doesn't happen to you if you've played with random people before. The problem is people are choosing to be noobs. They don't want the responsibility/pressure of using the Relic, so they dread the idea of having to pick it up because if they screw it up it's a team wipe. I think that the solution is really simple, though. Everything that you do in the end, from killing Oracles to using the Relic and defending the Time Gates, you've already done during the Templar fight (instead of time gates it's confluxes). But what I've noticed is that people who are already experienced with the Relic want to be the ones to use it during the Templar fight. Instead, it should be the noobs who should be allowed to use it, because except for enrage, there really is no pressure when using the Relic during the Templar fight. That way, they learn how to cleanse, how to use the super, the shield bash and the ground slam so that in the end if they get teleported, they aren't afraid to grab the shield because they already know how to use it. I personally love using the Shield. I think it's one of the most interesting weapons in the game, next to the Sword of Crota. But when I play with random people, I try to get players who haven't used the shield to use it during the Templar fight. If there is such a thing as THE perfect place for a noob to learn how to use it, it is that time. In a perfect world, that would be the case for every fireteam that enters the vault. Everyone would be exposed to the Relic and know how it works before even reaching Atheon, and the population of noobs would steadily decrease over time. But as long as those higher levels continue to hog the Relic and allow noobs to refuse to learn how to use it, the random teleporting is always going to be an issue. Boy.... rant much.
