Okay, Bungie says; "The Game begins at Level 20."
I believe this...and, I am addicted to this game...Love it!
Because at Level 20 you get to Choose how you want to level up after that.
You DECIDE to earn Vanguard Marks, or Crucible Marks...or both.
You then DECIDE which pieces of each factions armors you want to use to build that "Dream Set" that gives you the Level you want to be to start "Conquering The Raid", gives you boosts in YOUR CHOICE of Intellect or Discipline or Strength, AND gives you the Perks YOU CHOOSE to have on them.
So...I have to say; "The Game ENDS at Level 29.".
Because at Level 29 all the CHOICES end.
You are forced to repeat the same Raid over, and over, hoping to get together a set of armor that allows you to reach the next Level.
You pretty much give up on caring whether the gear has the right boosts for Intellect, Discipline, or Strength.
You pretty much take any Perks they offer.
You do NOT get to CHOOSE anything.
You are left with RNG...luck...lack of depth.
And, it seems that Future DLC will just add more of this type of Raids, Gear, and (our favorite) more RNG.
Why did Bungie suddenly decide to change the entire game at this point?
Why did they not just simply have "Raid Marks" as a reward for completing the Raid, and a Raid Vendor with a SELECTION of gear for you to CHOOSE from?
Did they honestly think this was a good decision?
Did they run out of time?
Or...did they just get lazy?
I really don't know.
Does anybody else feel like the whole "RNG is like so awesome!" feel of the end-game (And from the looks of it all future DLC!) is...well...just...not...good?
I still love the game.
Still play it for hours on end...everyday.
My Wife still doesn't understand me talking about how "this helmet is far better than this other helmet", yelling/laughing at/with people I have never met and probably never will, and staying awake all night just to see what "Some no-faced guy" is selling this week.
I just wish that it didn't leave me feeling shackled once I hit Level 29...

Edited to emphasize my question.

Agreed. The way this is going level 32 light will obsolete the vex and iron banner armor next. Lol

1 RespuestaEach piece of raid gear does come with different effects to intellect, discipline, and strength but you are stuck with the same effects which kind of sucks
-
4 RespuestasDude they'd have to spend time designing gear instead of spending time at the strip club because that's the only place I can imagine 500million was spend in this shell of a game
-
Choice not taken away as the raid gear has random stats... Keep running until you get what you want.
-
Because they're lazy

So here's how I think about it (and mind you I'm only level 27). What if bungie only made 29 levels, with no raid. You'd max out with all the different ways of attaining gear. Factions, crucible, strikes, farming resources etc. so we'd get there and there'd be less of a pull to go to the next point in the game. So then they say alright then... There's 1 more level, you can get to 30. But you have to go through the hardest stuff we've put together. And you'll need a good team. And hey, we're not promising you'll get what you want every time you play. Then we'll see who's the max players, who sticks with it long enough to be the best. If you don't want to raid, then be content at 29, but for some people that's going to drive you nuts knowing you want to be the best an push you to join a community or find friends to tackle it together. That's why I think 30 is different.

2 RespuestasYou're right. I hit 29 about a week ago then realized what you just said. I'm content with staying at 29.
-
5 RespuestasBut keep in mind, if you're willing to spend a little more more on some DLC the choices go back up.
-
In stead of nerfing shit they need to buff weapons that already suck
-
I can't even bother changing my armor. I'll go down so many levels and I'll have to farm shards/energy and more than likely all helium filaments just to get back to the exact same spot... Why does it take longer to level up legendary armor over exotic armor? And why can't we just use all exotics?! Will we be "too" overpowered? Not really, no. I wish at least to be able to equip all exotic weapons... It's annoying to have to change everything just to be able to assess the situation properly.

Accurately spoken.

Editado por hipopotomonstro: 10/29/2014 3:51:27 AMI agree, I like the lvl 30 raid gear (specially the helmet) but every other lvl 30 has the same helmet (unless it's exotic), but I also like my armor with a good amount of intelect and discipline, and I don't want the same armor everyone is using with perks I don't like. I'll be happy with my 29 titan, but I wouldn't complain if I had more armor options. Sorry for the english.

I couldn't agree more. Been stuck at 29 for 3 weeks. Leveled another to 27. Have one piece of raid gear after multiple raid completions (on hard and normal). Have plenty of shards and energy though...

5 RespuestasI guess I am right...nobody has an argument against this.

That's not random enough for Bungie.
