Faction War and History
This was spired by a lot of opinions and forums on destiny and my ideas, hope you like it and comes true. (Extra Idea and Feedback on the comments)
When you reach Rank 5 at any Faction you would be showed a cutscenes about the history and purpose of the faction. One the cut scene is over you would have unlocked the Faction Wars. To enter the Faction war you will need:
-To be level 20.
-To have equipped the bond/cape/the thing of the Titans of the faction you would like to fight for.
-Be Rank 5 on the Faction (obviously)
-YOUR GEAR MATTERS MORE THAN THE REGULAR CRUCIBLE BUT NOT A LOT.
-YOU COULD USE YOU GEAR OR CHOSE BETWEEN SOME GEAR OF THE FACTIONS THAT THE FACTION "LENDS" FOR THE MATCH. ( That's is not max out).
The Faction war will be a full size warfare with the next elements:
-A Giant Map (like half of the exploration zones or more)
-30 minutes match
-35,000 points to win
-3 teams (1 for each Faction)
-Each Faction will have 18 players (Total of 54 Players)
-Each team will be divided in a formation of 6 players, and if they want they could split in teams of 3 (if you go alone you would probably die)
-The Players will be drop from 3 drop ships ( 6 each ship) that can be destroyed by the enemy they are fast enough and uses enough fire power.
-Players will start with full ammo in every weapon, but there will be no ammo spawning in the map, players will have to deploy ammo that recharges every few minutes, but kills makes them recharge faster (Like grenade )
-The can revive you if you die, but it takes longer (20 seconds)
-If 3 or more players of the team die, they will be dropped by the drop ship
-Vehicles will spawn certain amount of time (3 pikes every 5 minutes and 1 cabal tank every 8)
-Player can can vehicles if he has a certain amount of kills in one life (7 pike 12 cabal tank)
Rewards:
-Winner Faction will get 1 ascendant shard AND 1 ascendant energy, besides the gear or weapons reward that depends on the kills and points of the player.
-2nd Place Faction will get 1 ascendant shard OR 1 ascendant energy, besides the gear or weapons reward that depends on the kills and points of the player.
-Loser Faction will get gear or weapons reward that depends on the kills and points of the player.
Besides that best players (doesn't matter the faction) will get:
-1st Place Player will get 1 legendary and 2 rare engrams
-2nd Place Player will get 3 rare engrams
-3rd Place Player will get 2 rare engrams
-4th Place Player will get 1 rare engram
As you play you eventually will get to know more history of your faction and a litter of the other. Also if they include the other 2 factions that are not in the game right know, there will be 12 players per faction ( 5 factions, 60 players) divided in teams of 4.

And why each gametype is sponsored by a faction. And why when you win "with more efforts like these we will win this this thing" (doesn't make much sense in the current context does it, you did just win)

2 RespuestasI don't feel it is feedback worthy. Yet. There are several flaws to address. 1. The size of the matches. People have issues loading servers in PvE, the same might happen. 2. Localization. This wouldn't be an issue if it did not balance teams based on class items. However, now the game needs to find <insert number> players for <insert faction> and so on. 3. This breaks the system that is currently in place. It would require Bungie to code a new format that uses aspects of both Clash and Rumble. 4. Rich get richer. You said that the gear you have plays a slightly bigger role than in normal Crucible. The people with the better gear, get even more better gear. To fix these issues, I have some suggestions. 1. Lower the number of players per server. This will reduce the stress on the servers. Perhaps have rent-able dedicated servers to allow for bigger matches. 2. Break away from the required faction class item. Keep the faction teams, but increase rewards if wearing appropriate class item. You could even up the bonus in increments for each member who wears the class item. (4 people wear the class item=those four people having increased rewards chances while the other members do not.) 3. Limit it to two teams. Or at least at first. Add different game modes that will allow for more teams as testing an balance conclude. 4. Either have the same limiters as the normal crucible, or change the reward system. Let's say that there are 18 players. Make 11 chances for rewards. The winning team will have 7 reward rolls. The losing team will have 4. This ensures that newcomers who can only get legendary gear get rewarded for the effort. They will most likely be going against the die hard players who have nearly all exotics. I think a PvE system would be nice as well. Giving it soft competition. There are four territories right now. Earth, Moon, Venus, and Mars. The completion of patrol missions and public events would give points to the faction. At the weekly refresh, the winning faction in each respective area will get a random reward in the mail. The more territories owned, the bigger the rewards. Vanguard would be involved as well, but just for community goals. For example, killing 2 million Captains before reset.

This sounds like a great idea! I would suggest having more like 3 or 4 players per team (yes I know strike teams are only 3 ppl) this would cut down on the lag from crazy amounts of players. It would help give the game more depth. I also like the idea of the patrol faction pvp

3 RespuestasI started reading this in the hope the person writing it had some common sense regarding game mechanics. Then, of course, I discovered they didn't. Nice try though, take it back to the drawing board for a bit and try to remember that this is a console based fps that already suffers from lag issues, and that the moment you "guarantee" a reward from something that someone out there will find a way to exploit it into a means of farming. Why do you think pvp rewards post game are random? Because if they weren't, people would sync que up and farm each other to get gear

It could also be cool to have faction pvp in patrol maps. Definitely spice shit up on those boring patrols. If you're on a faction and you encounter an opposing faction player, it can alert you and the opposing player and you can damage each other. Maybe we'll choose to work together during a public event or maybe...

2 RespuestasDidn't read it all, but i'm just going to stop at 18 player teams...i don't think any of the consoles can currently handle 54 players at the same time...maybe 18 with 6 player teams...

This is an amazing idea! The only "complaint," I guess you could call it, is that it's kinda hard to reach faction rank 5 by level 20 considering you have to wait until level 20 to wear the faction class item... whatever though, it's a great idea!
