When running strike missions I always have least kills consistently the most assists and orbs. The other team members have close to x2 my kills. I use the shadow price AR (fully upgraded) how do I get my kill total up? Am I using the wrong weapon? I'm going to get a scout rifle this week but is that really the answer?
Thoughts anyone?

I've received two extra rewards on a few strikes and I'm not sure if it's because I finished with the most assists, orbs and 2nd in kills or having finished a bounty during the strike. It seems if you win two of the three spots you do get extra rewards, anyone know? I have read that there are no extra rewards for finishing first in kills but there maybe for finishing first in two categories might.

1 RespuestaMission kills? Don't bother with them I watch what the other two players do if they are greyhounds (run like hell to next combat point or they are aggressive in their tactics when fighting) I play a back up role concentrating on staying alive if they die. Restarting from checkpoint is a drag! Its the bosses that matter kill them the strike mission is complete.

1 RespuestaI'm the same - I often have the least kills. I always concentrate on the strongest enemy though, whether that be a boss or just a Captain. I tend to ignore everything else that's going on e.g. for Devil's Lair, I'll only shoot the spider tank and won't bother with any of the other enemies running around. Same with Sepiks Prime - I'll only kill the smaller enemies if they get in my way, otherwise I'll ignore them as much as possible.
-
Super all the mobs, focus on the adds when fighting the boss. The other players get more kills if you're concentrating on shielded enemies and damaging the boss. Personally, I don't care for kills, I just get the job done.

3 RespuestasWho cares if you have the most assists that means those guys wouldn't have as many kills without Yuit bullets helping them. Your probably the one reviving them when they get there ass knocked off by a knight or captain also. It doesn't matter what place you come in as long as the team finishes.
-
Run ahead first and get the killed before they get there.
-
2 RespuestasJust steal the kills from the other guys lol. Wait for them to be one shot and steal that sucker lol. If you get in front use a rocket to kill big groups of dregs and out your self in a place to see most of the enemies.

2 RespuestasEditado por sergeantawesome: 10/26/2014 2:57:20 AMYour fine. Depending on the class and weapons, I change my tactics. With my hunter I am mostly going after bosses and tougher enemies. I use the scout and sniper rifles, so my kills are lower, but with the Titan and warlock I go after a lot more of the weaker enemies so I usually get the most kills. If your going after the tougher enemies, your not going to get as many kills.

8 RespuestasDon't use PvP guns in PvE.. Damage difference sucks.. Have a gun for both and the shadow price falls into PvP category

I consistently score 1st or 2nd in kills (second by only a few too). Go for the little dudes with precision shots.
-
1 RespuestaYou're probably dealing as much damage as everyone else but once you decimate the shielded enemies someone with a hand cannon or scout rifle is landing the finishing headshot.
-
Scout rifles and hand cannons seem to up the kills due to precision damage.

I ran about four strikes with my scout rifle- I increased my kills a lot, finishing 2nd in three with one tie but I got over with orbs and assists. I can believe the difference the SR made. Mobs were pop'n all over the place. It was a great series-all but one where someone hid from the priest under that top platform, he never revived even after he died and auto'd next to me right-next-to-me... The other player, he and I were reviving and covering each other. But everyone paid for their game and can play however that want.

I always have the most kills. I've only not had the most maybe 3-4 times tops. You gotta make it a competition. Run head strong into battle. Don't be scared and sit back. Don't let your enemies run to you, THIS AINT NO POSTAL SERVICE, MEET YOUR ENEMY ON THE BATTLE FIELD, CRUSH THEM, AND BECOME LEGEND!

6 RespuestasI usually allways have the most kills in my group even in raids one of the top two and I use hawkmoon and Atheons sniper or fusion rifle for oricles

3 RespuestasEditado por GoldenArms27: 10/25/2014 11:25:11 PMYeah, what MORGUEN87 said is spot on. I was running the Mars strike (Valus) last night and using the A-1whatever legendary scout rifle, while my teammates were both using Suros Regimes, and I nearly doubled their kill counts. Probably did about 50% of the damage to the boss as well because I switched to Icebreaker while they stubbornly kept using their Regimes.

Use a precision weapon like the pulse rifle and scout rifle. I always have twice as many kills as everyone else in raids and strikes, the critical hits really make a difference

Be more Titany. But seriously play more aggressively. If you're sniping then stop. Grab a shotgun and go ham. If you're more of a careful player choose the hunter class as a bladedancer, we get less kills, but I have more precision shots than anyone on my fire team and we have invisibility. Get up close and personal with anything big, then grenade, shotgun, melee and turn invisible again.

6 RespuestasEditado por MORGUEN87: 10/25/2014 11:08:21 PMhandcannoners and scout riflers will always out-kill ar users. No matter how good your ar is, it's probably not one shotting bad guys while their weapon is. Kill speed=more kills. Don't feel badly about it though, a good ar user who can stay alive is valuable to have because you're still doing consistent damage to the enemy and making the strike much easier for the rest of your team. Even if you're not getting the postgame glory. There's more to it than just kills. If everyone they're shooting at is already down to 70% health or less from your AR, you're doing them a huge favor and you're doing your part in making the strike go smoothly. Not to mention stripping wizards and captains shields (which is way easier with an ar than a hand cannon). I think people just tend to think of ars as the rambo or lone wolf weapon, when in actuality, you're more of the support. If you want to be the kill leader, use a hand cannon. But you'll see it's nice to have that ar support.
-
Hand cannon defender Titan. I've been out done on kills maybe 5 times.
-
It depends on your teammates weapons as well. At tiger strikes a decent hand cannon can take an add down in one shot.
-
1 RespuestaHeadshots.
-
1 RespuestaYou focus too much on the hardened targets leaving your teammates to take on the weaker more numerous adds. Each one counts as a kill and they'll rack up twice as many as you. You're running an AR. Make sure you're running with fire discipline. Don't rambo. Burst fire. You don't need to empty an entire mag into a single enemy when a burst round of 4-6 shots to the weakpoint will do. You'll be far more accurate when you do it as well since unless you have a perk on your weapon that counters it, the bloom of holding down the trigger will cause you to grow increasingly less accurate. And you can't kill what you can't hit. Accuracy, fire discipline, and enemy priority.

6 RespuestasWhen I play with my friend who only uses a hand cannon I get way less kills then him. Mainly because I start shooting with my Atheons epilogue and take their health down, while he headshots them and takes the kill.
