Honestly if you just killed some random mob or opened a random chest or public event and got received a lucky draw, you didn't earn anything. The ones that grind out strange coins and work for their currency have done more work than you. The only way you can legitimately "earn" an exotic is if you fought through a raid, bounty or nightfall mission. You didn't earn it if you pressed A or X at the cryptarch...

3 RespuestasWho cares? Anything earned in this game at all isn't really saying much as nothing is that much of a grind or hard work. I can get 27 strange coins a week guaranteed simply by spending 1 hour doing weekly heroic strikes, and then turn those in at the end of the week for a random but guaranteed exotic. That doesn't feel earned at all, it feels like it was handed to me on a silver platter. I just don't get this luck vs earned argument.. like who honestly cares about the method at which you obtained your weapon? Maybe because it's more rare to get an exotic from RNG than it is to do a couple strikes and buy one at the end of every week, so the people who were lucky are complaining that others are getting their weapons essentially handed(earned) to them with little effort? I understand both sides but the point is moot.

You must belong to the Vex, because clearly you have the mind of a dumbass.

4 RespuestasI'm pretty sure this "earned" argument is about a week old and you bringing it up is doing more harm than good.
-
Its like saying the person who goes to work everyday and then goes to buy food. But the person who finds a 20$ bill an gets food....yea you earned that RANDOM 20$ good job being Lucky
-
4 RespuestasIf you have it, you earned it. If the game gives it to you, you earned it. No matter which way you got it, you earned it. Go outside.
-
9 RespuestasIt's a game, They spent 60$ on it. Believe me they earned it idiot. Go out some time

1 RespuestaI bought the game with my wages so anything I do in game I have earned!

2 RespuestasI dont understand why this bothers people, or am i missing something?? Who cares weather you got a lucky drop or got it in the nightfall mission on very very very very very hard?!? Because i dont!
-
The whole rewards system is just random. Be lucky you get anything at all.
-
3 RespuestasAnd yet I can still shoot the weapons I bought just like yours... Hmmm... Sounds like you chose the dumb way to get your twinkles.

11 RespuestasEditado por PurpGreen: 10/17/2014 3:35:57 AMAgreed. How does luck = earned? Silly people, no luck involved to go through a weekly and get coins. Just skill, time and effort. Thats sounds more like "earned" Bounties- Super Good Advice Bad Juju Pocket Infinity Invective Thorn Xûr- Gjallarhorn Suros Regime Icebreaker VoG- Thunderlord I actually earned my exotics. Only one i "earned" (RNG engram) was a duplicate Icebreaker. I didnt earn that one, pure luck, no skill.

1 RespuestaThis thread is -blam!-ing stupid.

1 RespuestaI only keep items I get by luck, then I put them into my bank for storage for when they make trading available I'll sell them and stuff.. You know? I discard all strange coins cause The Lord ain't into that shit, therefore, neither am I. I never read the Harry potter books but I heard good things. If you use the Hunter class you've probably tasted penis once in your life. Cocaines a helluva drug. End quote.

11 RespuestasThis is last weeks topic... While we're here, let me enlighten you. An exotic weapon costs either 17 or 23 strange coins, depending on if its a primary or special weapon. 9 of those are guaranteed every week, 18 if you have 2 characters, and 27 if you have three. The weekly heroic takes 15-20 minutes maximum depending on the mission. So tell me, a person who puts in an hours work and gets 27 coins, more than enough to buy a weapon, has somehow earned that weapon... Yet, someone who grinds strikes, the crucible, etc, for days or weeks at a time, gets an exotic but according to you people it isn't earned.

I have 6 exotics earned all different ways. I think I worked hard for them yes but at the same time it was some dumb luck that I was at the right place and right time. But I don't think we should lecture others about how they play. It's not your game it's theirs let them play how they choose.

2 RespuestasWe all earned it.
