This is a suggestion post, sorry to whine.
Getting shards only while others get tons of stuff and sometimes multiple drops at once is annoying. Spread the love some, it is a team game. I have 28 clears and Still lag behind my friends who are long past 30 and want to attempt the perfect raid achievement, but are waiting for us all to be 30.
Getting marks that we could use to buy armor with perks we actually use would open up customization and keep ppl interested in running raid after 30. We could get multiple sets for different weapon types and keep the game fun. Most modern mmos that have came post WOW have token raid gear for people like me who share in bad luck. Even the games that used the old need/greed option allowed love to be spread amongst friends in raid through passing items to people in need. The personal rng system sometimes leads to situations where some friends get too much loot too often while others seem to receive very little, and there is no trading system to balance the scale. If you could buy raid gear with raid tokens even at a slow pace it wouldn't be so bad.
Some suggestions I have are each chest/boss drops 5 marks in normal or 10 on hard. 100 marks buys a piece. This is better than using strange coins, as you would earn raid gear only by raiding.
Also before people think I am another person who hates this game, and goes off on me. I like this game, and plan on staying through the dlc. I am having a blast. Only other things missing is various Crucible game types, super free/limited playlist, and custom matches/lobbies.**
**Edited to cut back on the crying nature of the post. Also note the clears on my hunter even though I keep the gear in my bank for easy swaping between them.

Completely agree not to mention the fact you can only get the raid helmets from atheon himself. after they decided to make him a hundred times harder and say -blam!- every raid team with a strategy for defender team and portal team. Raid gear should drop from any check point i.e oracles, templar ect. I understand hard only for the helmets and some weapons but it shouldn't only be atheon you can obtain you final peice of gear from. The mythoclast is his hard drop just like chatter white is his normal drop those should be the trophies along with the ships and sparrow not gear.

I feel for you. I opened a chest in the GL and got Suros, RBoots and RGloves. No lie, I felt like I didn't deserve them, and so I sharded them
-
That would make good sense. It could easily be added to Xur on a weekly cycle to keep it difficult to obtain.
-
Signed. Just makes sense.
-
I will gladly trade 100 shards for RAID gear lol, Bungie, broken piece of ... Love the game but I can't lvl up...who the fk decided this was a good idea. It wasn't in Old Republic, do don't bring it over here. If you're going to copy someone, at least copy someone who is successful geeze Bungie tisk tisk tisk.

6 RespuestasObviusly you haven't played Borderlands 2 if you think this is the worst loot system. But I like your suggestion a lot!
-
I couldn't agree more.
-
That's not a bad idea. Xur could sell them.... Lol but then you'd have everyone complaining saying you didn't earn them lol
-
-blam!-ing bump

I have a similar idea based on my similar luck. Done the raid every week and still have only gotten one set of boots, no ship, no sparrow, no raid gear, not even a second set of boots. But instead of a separate currency, let's use the currency we already have and have no sink for. 100 weapon parts for 1 ascendant energy, (and similar). Then do 50 ascendant materials for one piece of gear. Now you have a sink for those excess parts, and a sink for the excess ascendants you have when you are not getting gear drops. Forces the player to choose to level up gear or get new gear by an already existing limiting mechanism. Chances are, if you have way more materials then gear to use them, you have not been getting gear drops regularly enough.

Raid tokens aren't a bad idea. Even if it was like 1 token when you finish and took 10 tokens to buy a piece. Or whatever. I've been lucky and rng has been fairly even with me, but I have some buddies that are so lucky they should buy a lottery ticket and a couple others that haven't gotten shit for 10+ raids. It's BS
-
I think it just needs to be rewarded every time you do a FULL raid not just atheon , but if you do whole thing at least legendary engram's or something with chance of raid gear, doing it over and over for chatters sucks.

3 RespuestasHonestly raid gear and gear in general in destiny is given out entirely to easy. I still don't have a hellfire ring in diablo 3 ros and I've lost count of my attempts. I've been trying since before the expansion and only have 1 of 3 mats. In a previous MMO I have over 8k kills on awaken kooii and still no power gloves. Destiny is way to easy on the drops.

2 RespuestasYou cleared vog 6 times.
-
12 RespuestasOnce the ironbanner will give out lvl 30 gear for participating NOBODY will ever return to this RNG damned raid. I have two lvl 30 hunter btw so i practically i am not whining.
-
7 Respuestasyour page shows you are a liar and have only cleared VoG 6 times...................
-
yes please
-
3 RespuestasThey don't need raid tokens just let me trade one of my 6 chatter whites for gear I need
-
I agree. I seem to be the lucky charm to our raid. Every time I go everyone else leaves with something... I get shard'ed on.
-
I can sympathise, 2 warlocks which I run the raid on hard mode both each week and still haven't gotten the boots. It's starting to take the piss now. Roughly the same amount of clears as yourself.

-
The only logical conclusion I have as to why it's only a chance is to have players spend more time playing the game.
-
Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes
-
did you ever play 'too human'? I would say getting the full set of gear in that was the biggest chore. you do seem somewhat unlucky though:(
-
Possibly the greatest idea ever.

1 RespuestaIt's a great idea, but it's become increasingly apparent bungie doesn't listen to player feedback. We have to do things their way or not at all.
