So back in September, Bungie released some Dev Notes on some expected changes that suggested that they were going to improve Thorns and Bad Juju for their next balance. What did they do? They decide to go after the Mythoclast and Pocket Infinity. Although I have not gotten either of the Mythoclast or Pocket Infinity, I do not think they need any balancing. I do hope to get them some day, but since they patch it, I'm less enthused about them now. Those exotic weapons were rightfully earned through the hard raid or exotic bounty. Even in PVP, against either weapons, aim for their head, how hard is that? There's always going to be a disparity between skill and weapon. It seems like Bungie is misleading the community more and more, but that is just my opinion. What do you guys think? I used to think that Activision was to blame for Destiny falling short of some of my expectations, but from how Bungie is handling things, it feels like Bungie is the one to blame.
EDIT: If you look under the Dev Notes, they have address everything under the comment section; auto rifles, scout rifles, and shotguns. The only thing they did not address that they explicitly point out is thorns and bad juju. Is it then, so difficult to be able to modify, say the magazine size of the weapon, as they have with the changes to the mythoclast and infinity?

In like the very first paragraph they said they were still working on other exotics...

5 RespuestasEditado por Gubzs: 10/14/2014 8:22:28 PMPocket Infinity is now a trash gun. They nerfed the only good thing about it: it's ability to spray. It already ate ammo, I virtually never used it because of this fact. By the way, incase you Pocket Infinity owners didn't know? The additional shots that get fired once it goes into full auto do SIGNIFICANTLY less damage than charging it up and shooting it one pulse at a time, and use the same amount of ammunition. Another OP PvP gun that got nerfed to unusability in PvE. In my opinion, this is how exotics should be buffed: Thorn: Bigger magazine size, faster reload, or both. Super Good Advice: Bonus to Hipfire accuracy / stability Bad Juju: more impact / bigger clip, or some combination of both. This thing hits like a peashooter. Last Word: Slight buff to range Invective: Buff to reload speed and stability Gjallarhorn: Increase Cluster Missile damage Plan C: Revamp this gun entirely. The 'special' perk is garbage.

1 RespuestaEditado por Cyanide: 10/15/2014 1:27:48 PMYou didn't read the dev notes otherwise in the first paragraph you would've read: "We're still working on a larger update which will address under-performing Exotics and overall class balance."

3 RespuestasScenario: In coffee shop getting a coffee. Sign says coffee will be served in a red cup. You get a white cup. Stood in coffee shop shouting "YOU LIED TO ME. I'M GOING TO SUE"! Unfortunately this is the kind of pissy crap that people are 'angry' about. There's a shedload of guns, that really are not massively different, go use one of them maybe?
-
4 RespuestasMaybe because they have to test them out in house to ensure the buffs wont create another mythic last scenario. These things take time, something this community knows precious little about.
-
They still plan on buffing the Thorn and Bad Juju...
-
They've completely messed up the vex. Just look at my recent games and you can see for yourself how bad it is now! Shocking!
-
Bungie lied again. What am I going to do? Destiny is ruined. Bungie doesnt fix the things I want fixed first and now they balanced op guns.. I mean wtf bungie. You should only listen what I want to be changed. Oh and waah waaah waaaaaaah.
-
This was a hot fix, they're going to buff the exotics in the update
-
3 RespuestasMythoclast needed a nerf. Now pocket infinity needs a buff.
-
They said it's coming up in a later patch.
-
the fact is, fusion rifles didn't need head shots to instantly kill you. weapons like the Suros could be outgunned by a shingen but ANY fusion rifle doesn't need any real aiming or head shots to kill you easily. I still see some use of the weapons in PvP but theyre not insta-kills HOWEVER they are far from being useless. the nerf just made them more balanced for the game
-
1 Respuestapocket infinity is so amazing now. they just reduced the magazine but there is no recoil. it is a lazer beam
-
Technically by nerfing the vex they indirectly buffed juju and thorn.
-
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1YcPmDi66NgoBt6UOznvg9cxTV-aDs3dAD9AjJAMW6Xo/edit#gid=0 Vex got hit the hardest out of anything damage reduction is actually 41% rather than 34%...
-
Pocket infinity nerf really has little effect on it. Still decimates with 3 rounds. Stability was better than extended mag anyways
-
Serious question... Are you stupid? It says on the front page they are working on the update for the rest of the exotics...
-
They only changed a perk for pocket infinity it's not the end of the damn universe. Damn crybabies outnumber lemmings.
-
3 RespuestasDid you not read the patch? they said a larger bigger patch will be coming out soon that will be more focused on other exotics and balances...read before posting please.
-
1 RespuestaPost patch my suros regime auto is still way better than my vision of confluence scout rifle. Basically I'm still wrecking trash mobs with my primary, and still using sniper/launcher for bosses/elite mobs. I've never had the vex myth or the pocket infinity so I make no comment regarding those. I do know from watching pvp videos that the mythoclast was hilariously OP, and anyone that denies that is delusional or just a pathalogical liar.

5 RespuestasBad juju & thorn isn't as game breaking as the mytho dude. It has a much higher priority since everyone is crying because they can't get to raids on hard.
-
You dumbass. "We're still working on a larger update which will address under-performing Exotics and overall class balance." Learn to read.
-
Did you even read the notes you fool? It's in there big guy just keep looking.
-
5 RespuestasYour so blind. The clearly stated in the patch notes that thy are working on another patch to address underperforming exotics..
-
1 RespuestaAnd my Bad Juju is still picking up dust in my inventory.... I don't see why they couldn't put the buff patch for them and a lot of the other patches together....
-
They said they have a bigger update coming anyways... Probably to fix a lot more( Yes, that most likely includes the hand cannon)
