So am I the only one who feels like I'm constantly being punished for enjoying PVE? So far we pver's have gotten an incomplete story, zero end game content and now all of our hard earned rewards are being altered. To me a huge selling point of Destiny was that anyone could enjoy the game no matter what your play style, but now I feel like I'm being forced into using guns I don't prefer. To me the most frustrating part of all this is that I feel like I just wasted an entire month of my life obtaining and leveling the weapons I enjoy using most for no reason. I'm not all complaints though, I have thought of some simple solutions to make the PVE a little better.
: make the weekly heroic a different strike then the weekly nightfall so we're not running the same dungeon over and over again.
: have PVE exotics drop from the raid rather then from Xur. This will ensure that not all players have the same weapons and at the same time will make players feel rewarded for running what's supposed to be the hardest content in the game. As it stands 90% of the time you are handed junk energy and shards.
: If your not willing to make separate gear and weapons for PVP, make exotics unusable in the crucible all together! It takes a lot more rounds to kill shielded npc's then it does other players. Nerfing weapons, while not that big of a deal in PVP is a huge deal to toughs of us who enjoy PVE as the npc's shields and health have not been altered to match the weapons.
These are just some simple ideas I had, PVE players let me know what you think.

1 RespuestaYou are perfectly right. I hate pvp so i refuse to play it. i got a thorn exotic gun bounty and have to get pvp kills to get it. why is pvp more important then pve. Didn't we pay just as much as other people so don't we have the right to an equal amount of fun and gear??? So bungie it is about time to give us what we deserve. Pls Make it so

6 RespuestasEditado por RedKain243: 10/15/2014 6:14:04 AMSo solo pve players already cant get raid gear and you want to make it so that we cant get exotucs either? Great idea. Oh wait actually NO.
-
Weapons in pve should NOT be nerfed EVER!
-
5 RespuestasTo add to this, please remove crucible from PVE exotic bounties. I don't like playing it, and I shouldn't have to, to be able to get a gun for turning in PVE bounties.
-
and then you get an exotic bounty for the depleted hand cannon! it is hungry for hive! pvE 500xp of moon critters? sure! now go do pvP. wtf? holds X...all done all done! i loved the hive part though.
-
Destiny will and will probably always be a PvP based game, this game is said to last ten years but that's for the PvP.

2 Respuestasi do not do pvP at all but i picked up a legendary curicible-variant pair of hunter boots during my solo run on the weekly heroic strike. http://www.bungie.net/en/Legend/PGCR/1/4611686018433553448/2305843009234260909/521614714?_ so the crucible-variants are out there in pvE.

1 RespuestaThis is a tricky thing broseph and here's why... Firstly, this isn't a new story. Activision also owns Blizzard where people have been nerd raging for years about the exact same stuff in warcraft. This is the mmo rpg cycle that you have to get use to. They start by nerfing the bosses, then "balance" the weapon + armor, the balance the classes. You think your mad now? Wait till the start swapping in and out talents and buffing and nerfing others. On the other hand, they can't separate the gear. As they've seen in wow, I'm assuming because it's the role model for all games like this, if you separate pve and pvp gear you drive a wedge between the gamers, bigger than there is now. They also have to separate weapons and do all of this while taking into consideration console limitations. When you separate the two you have two completely separate games. It makes it near impossible to have a fun time playing both pvp and pve because you're always going to be under geared in one or both. Like I've said, I can see what they're aiming for here because I've seen this all before, but I'm not too sure if they have a coherent plan on achieving that goal.

if im forced to play pvp which really aint my thing .it would be nice if your grouped in same lvl players .theres nothing like being a lvl 5 toon and getting spawn killed by some a-hole lvl 25 whos camping you

4 RespuestasMelee becomes useless in pve at high levels. I feel bad for striker titans

While I love pvp in cod and bf in destiny pve is it's strength and I love it. However the pvp in destiny is not terrible but I much rather pve in this game. Bungie should make sure pve is not getting damaged as it is the bread and butter. To focus on destiny pvp is not smart especially with new cod and other games coming out soon. They need to solidify the pve as that is what will keep destiny progressing.

Already sold Destiny for Borderlands and didnt look back , at least borderlands is a full game in PVE, NOT half they game like destiny is so they can sell us the rest later

20 RespuestasBoth the Hunters supers (especially Arc Blade) are underpowered in high lvl PVE and will never get a buff because of PVP. Feel like I'm typecasted as medic when I'm forced to play Bladedancer because of lemming squadmates.

It's better if the Weekly Heroic is the same as Nightfall, that way all the newer players have a chance to get a feel for how hard the Nightfall could be before trying it.
-
2 RespuestasOk I stoped at your xur comments you can't make a legitimate argument about not having to work for those coins you use to buy an exotic. I know it took me more time to get the currency to buy something than it did to get one from the raid or pvp.
-
8 RespuestasI'm pretty sure completing the raid DOES drop exotics, and banning all exotics from crucible would kill PVP much more than a simple stat readjustment to one overpowered weapon.

2 RespuestasEditado por Glyfik: 10/16/2014 4:45:29 PMYou're kicking a dead horse. There are millions of PVE players like you and I that are immensely dissatisfied with the Destiny we were given. Bungie seems to have no power over the PVE aspect of the game, otherwise I'm sure they'd think of something. Other than that, we'll just have to wait till December and hope for the best.

my opinion on night fall or a weekly heroic is to make one of them a part of the story sort of like the daily but make it harder like nightfall, or add a mode where we can pick our own part of the story and add our own modifiers and rewards are based off the number of modifiers and the difficulty of said modifiers, that would keep some people busy for awhile imo. Instead of waiting for resets to run the same thing over and over.

i don't think you guys see the point. the game is large for its first release and more dlc are on the way with the dlc you get - more story - more strike - more raid the game is wel made story is hard to get but not impossoble to understand as for the weapons i have weapons i don't like and weapons i like that even apply's to the weapon catogory as for exotic items try to farm a lot of legendary engram i got most of my exotic through legend engrams so you all complain but you don't find a solotion within the game i got 3 hunter exotic and 2 are engram 2 tinan exotic but all are xur 1 through engram and 1 that was availble same day the exotic drop has to be rare ore every one would walk with the most OP stuff in pvp and pve making the game no channlge at all. so stop only complaining and find the solotion like a real gamer the options are right in frond of you you only need to find them

It's not Bungie just picking on PvE, PvP is just as bad. It's sad so many people wanted this game to be great. Gaming is just greedy nowadays.

BUT WHAT ABOUT OUR BLUE ENGRUMz!?!?!

I don't think people are punished for liking PVE, I think Bungie sometimes tries a little too much to push PVP though. Lets look at how many people complain about the lack of content, with only 6 strikes, 1 raid and not s huge number of levels. Eventually that gets old. Most straight up campaign style FPS games die pretty quick. Games with good PVP tend to keep coming back (ie. Halo). So getting the balance right there probably helps keep the game around longer, meaning it will have support when new (hopefully) PVE content comes out. I also see how some of this hurts PVE. There are high level baddies that you have to empty mag after mag into, and every scrap of damage helps. Nerfing weapons for PVP balance hurts PVE at times. Having them work differently in each mode makes little sense, that would kind of ruin the gun. Making some things unusable in PVP is probably better, but people would still complain that they couldn't use something they earned. Tough to balance, but I think banning some things in PVP is the better option. I do understand why people might not like the crucible, but I also think the two parts really need to be taken together to get the whole game. It makes sense to me that changes to one impact the other. It just seems strange/unfair that PVE is usually getting the short end of the stick. Hopefully Bungie gives PVE players some love in the next update.

2 RespuestasYou are not being punished for enjoying PvE, rather you are making a mountain out of a molehill.
zero end game content
So what of high-level strikes, raids and daily missions? You can argue that it's not much content and that maybe its shallow, but that's not something exclusive to PvE. PvP players only get 4 basic playlists with not much depth between them.
all of our hard earned rewards are being altered
All? Minor changes to auto-rifles and shotguns and one over-powered exotic weapon are all of your rewards? I guess all scout rifles, pulse rifles, rocket launchers, machine guns, hand cannons, armour, and the rest that you received from various sources are not rewards?
... Nerfing weapons, while not that big of a deal in PVP ...
Whoa, whoa, whoa hold on a second there. Since when is nerfing weapons in PvP "not that big of a deal"?! I'd argue that changing the overall balance in PvP has an enormous amount of significance compared to doing the same in PvE. So much so, in fact, that it is a whole different ballpark altogether when trying to balance weapons for one mode or the other. You are exaggerating the impact this actually has on you and other players who exclusively play PvE. Saying "Oh no, the Vex Mythoclast is slightly less powerful, this completely ruins my entire experience in Destiny!" is making you look like a fool. Your only valid point was that there is an incomplete story, and that doesn't really relate at all to the changes made in the hot-fix. What's really happening is that the game's balance is evolving to account for all play-styles, and sometimes things don't go to your favor. You have to look at Destiny as a whole, not just "the PvE" corner and the "the PvP" corner. The game is designed and structured so that the two experiences are intertwined.

Yup bungie now has a track record of punishing pve players. If they wanted this to be halo reskinned then they should have advertised it as such, not an mmo like shooter. Smh potential wasted. Tragic.
-
You forgot about the exotic bounties forcing PvE players into the crucible. Got thorn and bad juju to knock out. Not looking forward to that grind on a mode I hate

Editado por mackyoshi: 10/15/2014 12:40:39 AMthey have shortchanged the large portion of people who bought this game for the promise of RPG content in a shooter. unfortunately the vast majority of the playerbase are mindless shooter addicts who wouldn't know good PvE if it hit them in the face. its ok because i wont be buying the DLC
