I bought Gjallahorn, Suros, Red Death, AND Icebreaker... I earned them.
EDIT: I fixed the thread up a bit. Came off a bit too aggressive than I intended.
I am a collector of sorts and I found that collecting these exotic weapons have a certain special place in my heart.
No, I did not "earn" these through RNG (which is not earning at all).
In fact buying these from Xur is much closer to 'earning' than getting lucky with an RNG drop from crucible after bottoming the list.
Using dozens of coins I have 'earned' from the daily story AND the weekly heroic missions is more true to earning these exotics than being the ONLY one in a raid group of 6 lucky enough to pull an exotic weapon out of VoG.
I have earned my shit through hours of playing these story missions and weekly heroic strikes.
Oh you found your Icebreaker as a drop running patrol missions on Mars? I call that LUCKY.
I bought a gun with 17 strange coins saved up after playing Heroic and the story missions when available.
I call that 'Earned'.

RNG is pretty much a free coupon for Xur merchandise that he may or may not have sold before. Anti-Xur hipsters can't blame everyone else when Xur is dangling free exotics in front of our faces.

It's not fair you got icebreaker by pure luck and i had to earn the stupid coins to buy one.....ok that sounds better than its not fair i won the lottery and you had to earn your money...lol I so wonder why the people who got a free lucky random drop are so mad when someone works a week to get coins just to bu something instead of getting it handed to them. Oh well i bought the raise faster chest and icebreaker so im happy.

I haven't spent a single strang coin... until yesterday. My strange coin hoard was useless just sitting there building up so I figured I'd put 17 of them to use. Then I spent another because of the bounty for Super Good Advice. I think that evens it out. I earned 4 exotic weapons from bounties, 2 exotic pieces of armor from engrams, and now 1 Ice Breaker from a welfare check.

4 RespuestasYou don't get coins from nightfall (unless your unlucky) or daily missions, you get them from weekly heroic strikes. Try and rub it in peoples faces when you can actually remember where you got your coins fool -_- i doubt you even have them seeing as you don't even know where to get you coins from.
