That's the question I'm mulling over. In the first fortnight of Destiny I'd have been onboard, but now I'm not so sure.
Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy Destiny and the special events have been okay, but all the speculation about chunks of the game allegedly being pulled for us to buy via DLC is starting to make me think twice about the expansions.
Anyone feeling the same? What do you think?

4 RespuestasStop kidding yourself. If you're still playing...if you're still posting. Come december you'll be getting the DLC.

This is the best game I've purchased in more than a year. I'll happily buy the dlc and I'll enjoy doing the new raids with friends. People fail to see that this game is more polished with more content than most console games that came out this year.
-
I'm buying it!! Hell yeah!!
-
I have mine when I bought the game. Like the game just wish it would give me more Ascendant shards...1 piece for doing a whole strike or mission?

With all the awesome games coming out November... no I do not plan to buy the pass. I think I'll move on from Destiny after that. It's one of those things that when you are in it... you're deep in it. Once you're out.... you're out.

Unfortunately, I pre-ordered with the expansion pass. So, I'll be playing the expansion, hoping that they add enough to make up what was advertised.

2 RespuestasI will with certainty buy The Dark Below. It's quality of content and quantity of content will determine if I purchase any more DLC. I think it's a sentiment many share in the wake of the obvious under achievement in terms of quality and quantity of story, mode diversity, and communication functionality with the core game. Destiny is the most fun I've ever had in a game that lacks any context to understand why I'm doing what I'm doing in it. The game is all fish bait and no hook...delicious but nothing to pull me in.

4 RespuestasSo glad the expansions came with my game! Hands down the best purchase I've had in a LONG TIME!

I like the game, I want more. #simple

16 RespuestasI like these poll numbers haha shows that all the flaming about the DLC is on the decline. Hopefully the gaggles of idiots opposed to this game have finally fled back to the sewers where they breed.

2 RespuestasIt shows that the loud mouths are not the voice of the community.

2 RespuestasI think we got exactly what was promised... The moon, Venus and mars. That being said I will be waiting until the first dlc actually releases to see if it has more planets and moons like Saturn and titan. I might even wait until there is a sale if I don't see my friends playing in the new areas.

I enjoy playing Destiny even with it's many shortcomings. However, as it stands with the DLC currently at £30/$45 I will not be buying it because no matter the content of the DLC it is not a whole new game and should not be priced like one. Once/if the price is lowered to around £15 or less then I will probably buy it.

I don't mind too much

check this out for some end game content. vote, comment and share

4 RespuestasEditado por Guardian Gav: 10/9/2014 11:28:14 AMI'd say don't believe everything you read. There's far too many people that prefer conspiracy to fact. I'm not going to go into as much detail as I have in other threads, but put simply a hell of a lot of people don't understand software development and game development. When you design a game, you're not designing it for release and then start thinking about how the game will be extended with DLC. Before a line of code is written a lot of the end goals and how the DLC fits in would have been decided. Much of the DLC in terms of maps/level design, place holders and how it fits in to the Destiny world would probably be done and more than likely shipped with the disc/download. This would also include any voice recordings for additional story. The coding side of the DLC is the bit that takes longer and requires a whole multitude of testing. This is the bit they're working on, this isn't cut from the game, it's not finished because it is the DLC. It's far more logical, quicker and easier to put finished parts of the DLC in the release than it is to save it all for the DLC. That means the download is a far smaller and servers don't get clogged up with lots of people downloading massive files at the same time - that's the reason the digital download was made available a week before release, so it wasn't everyone trying to download it on release day. One final point, Destiny is a shared world. Someone that doesn't get the DLC will still have the map so they're able to access some or all areas of the DLC while on patrol, where there might be more public events that everyone can access. My advice, if you enjoy Destiny get the DLC.

I'll be picking it up. I'll probably buy the Expansion Pass in the next few days.
