Elaborate. I'm currently playing what they promised me.

Man there's so much that's been left out the game. Thats why the story if u can call it that doesn't make sense. The ability to join a fireteam and drop right in to where he is playing. The smart AI. even the interactive worlds have been cut out. As well as the wildlife there was more shown to us in the vid doc. I've gotten to the terminus last night and I'm pretty upset that it's just one room. It's an average room. Seriously why is that even DLC?? sorry I'm just giving reasons why this isn't what we were promised. I still blame Activision no matter what they seem to be involved in its always that same thing. Poor game quality but money hungry. Why should we have to wait for these things to be updated?? Why wasn't the ability to talk to each other put into the game before release? This is a game all about being social and helping one another out but it's still not implemented yet. I'm not one of those that thinks this game is a waste yet but it has a lot of problems that need to be fixed or even addressed.
-
Left out implies it was developed and then implemented. What you are describing is incomplete. Which it is. However if people play it and it's commercially viable Bungie will fill in the worlds and add features. If people don't buy the DLC then we'll never find out because Activision will pull it's funding and who knows the language of the deal at that point. Personally in world of CoD and Battlefield and Mass Effect and Borderlands I'm fine with Destiny's start point. It works well, it's core mechanics of co-op, shooting and world design are all great. Other than loot and voice/clan features they are on solid base. It's main issue is the scarcity of content. That takes time, no shortcuts there (you want shortcuts look to BF4, a year to patch it into a semi fixed state).
-
All of this was already shown to us in the vid docs that were released. Makes no sense as to why they went through a lot of this coding and time just to cut it all out and give us barely what feels like a skeleton.
-
ViDocs are about works in progress. What you see is the things they are trying. They also tried weather in PVP maps and it just made the gameplay poorer (as well as probably causing the old gen fits). They showed an alpha and a beta, it was pretty clear the basic mechanics. I'd like more story but it's not really a concern since it's not the story I'm playing. It's the lore and world building. I want a sandbox to create an adventure for my friends and I as well as this strangers I meet along the way. I think that's what they're doing, time will tell.

Editado por chunken: 10/9/2014 8:47:15 PMElaborate? HAHA. Where's the cut content they promised us. Not some fake dlcs. Elaborate.
-
What cut content? You are making accusations and stating complaints without actually saying what you are accusing them of or what you're complaining about (and how you would fix it). Trollings easy.
-
Omfg. Where haven you been since launch dumbass. There's cut content everywhere. Please go search the forums when you say I have made "accusations". Dumb-blam!-.
-
You are making assertions in my thread, I'm simply asking you to outline them in general, as well as state issues and possible solutions. If you simply want to troll, go play on reddit or 4chan, there's plenty of troll bait there.
-
As much as I hate to admit it & I'm a long time bungie/ Halo fan. But this game isn't living up to what they've said in interviews or Vidocs. It's got potential for sure, but there's not enough to keep me hooked. I think the story/ campaign fell short & they need to roll out new content asap.

So a old zone map and some empty zones still being animated, filled with AI and QA'd at Bungie is your issue. You realize that isn't withheld content that's incomplete content that they left in the release build of Destiny right? Hell, knowing Bungie they may have left zone access there as an Easter egg, see if anyone figured it out. Not like it required a wall glitch or anything. I'd like some improvements and lots of new content as well however throwing a tantrum is just idiotic. The fact that you don't even write down your concerns and provide ideas on how to fix the issues marked you as just another lazy troll full of entitlement and impotent rage. ...or, a 4channer, for short.
-
See? You're a pussy. Go search yourself you lazy fatass. Where do you think we got those "dlcs' from. If you don't want me to post on your forums you shouldn't have replied in the first time.
-
Lazy...snicker. If only. Don't have to search, I've been around game design (digital and board/pen&paper) for decades. I've played Bungie games since the beginning and they have made mistakes, will again. They have always been about hiring good folk and making the games they want to make. Many other studios and design houses are the same (Wizards of the Coast, TSR, Naughty Dog, Bioware, etc). You don't like the choices go play something else. You like the game and want it to succeed stick around and voice your opinion. Bottom line, the internet it learning the trollish tantrum throwing minority is best ignored, like the cries of the over-indulged child in a toy store who wants "That toy!" Feel free to carry on, the rest of us are bored with the pedantic and tiresome drone of your idiotic blather.
-
Also what other people? The only other people I see are against you.
-
Damn to on you hours to say that. I love how you're the only one on this conversation who is dumb.
-
Did the story make sense to you? Feel like it was incomplete? Only what six strikes that get repeated with different perks? Having the reef a place to visit but no playable area make sense? Only one raid? The pve has 4 maps cut into different sections and called story missions and strikes . Don't get me wrong I love the game but anyone can tell this game is a shell of what they intended or more like marketed it to be. My theory is they chopped content to package into dlcs packages. Honestly it's minimal content they cleverly made to seem like much much more.
-
Your theory would be incorrect. I could see a case to be made for an additional year of development, have a more fleshed out game. The content in the DLCs simply isn't finished. Seriously, this is how game production is done now. Don't understand why? That video by Extra Credit is the best explanation I've see for it why it's done (interestingly the issue they are talking about is very similar to the Destiny situation). I can see people being unhappy with this, my sympathy ends when people throw tantrums and become vitriolic. I want a better game. Being an arsehole a forum (or many forums) isn't going to make that happen. However, stating problems clearly, concisely and loudly while remaining polite may. I've met more than a few people in game design, some from Bungie and they all care about their games. The reality is that this is a business venture so it's not all sunshine and rainbows, sometimes hard choices are made, sometimes the wrong choices are made. Acting like spoiled children doesn't change any of these factors, much as redditt or 4chan would like it to be so. Whatever floats your boat though, Simone has to be the antagonist's unnamed henchmen, might as well be you.

Well I disagree with you especially regarding this game. Name dropper it seems. I have a degree in game art and design. I KNOW how games are created and everything that is involved. This game was in development for how many years? When you create a game you follow a complete story. The fact that the story presented to us is incomplete proves that content was cut. I understand your point to a certain degree but this game is not cod, halo, a sports game where they have a finite time to release then start on the next project. The game has so little content for 8-9 years of development. Come on, think for yourself. Activision the publisher forced bungie the developer to cut content to release in PAID dlcs every few months. Games these days are about making money after the release. If you think this game is what bungie intended to put out you my friend are misguided and misinformed.

Editado por end: 10/10/2014 5:21:25 PMYour an artist, not a programmer. You make assets, you don't make them work or the backend they rely on. You don't make the engine or figure out server locations and network infrastructure. While I respect artists, they don't make the game go, they make the game look good. Destiny looks good, so they are sorted on that front. The rest of your post is supposition (unless your a party to the inner workings of Bungie, in which case your breaking an NDA), not even worth anyone's time.
-
I agree with that, I have been exposed to game engines, physics, and programming but have no idea about the scope of work or obstacles they had to overcome. This is a new type of game for bungie. However on the networking and server side I would think bungie would have that figured out over the years with halo. For a development life cycle as long as this, there is no excuse for the minimal content at launch. The way they dress up "new" events that use the same missions is comical. Honestly two scenarios can explain this. 1. Bungie failed in their attempt to make a large ever evolving game with a dynamic story. 2. Activision sat down and came up with a plan to make as much money after release as possible by delivering the story to us in pieces after launch. Can you admit that it's one of these two scenarios? What else could be the reason? I can't except they didn't have time or this is what was planned.
