Purple Engrams Have Left the Building!
Since the new patch for drops went live, I haven't seen a single purple engram drop at all. I knew the drop rate would be nerfed, but not to the point of non-existent. (shrug)

i have also had no purple engram drops for me for my entire time of playing destiny. i only got 1 legendary engram from reaching rank 5 at the crypdork

1 RespuestaSame here. I have never seen a single purple. Bungie promised we would get better rewards for playing, but all I get is not as good as what I have. I purchased most of my legendaries. Except for the one I got for completeing the story.

5 RespuestasI finally got a purple, and then it turns out to be gear for a class other my own. How did that happen? Do I need to start a new character now in order to use the 1 and only piece of Legendary gear I've gotten so far?

2 RespuestasWell, I thought they were always supposed to be a pretty rare occurrence to begin with so I never really expected them to drop that often anyway. The way I see it, at least now, when I get that rare purple drop, I know it won't be turning into a friggin blue 99% of the time.

They're more rare but they do still come often. I've gotten at least 10 since patch.

1 RespuestaOh, is that different than how it was before? I mean, it's all subjective, but one of the things that I have a problem with in this game is how much of a thankless grind it has been to raise my level to the point where I could hit VoG and actually enjoy the end game. To date (pre-patch), I have gotten exactly 4 legendary engrams (only one of which produced purple loot) and zero exotic bounties. At least I'm finally high enough level to run VoG.

I thought they had left too but I got 3 last night in an hour. They're there but far and few in between. Keep hunting.

I've dropped one a few hours after the patch, none since. But I think a blue became purple...

I found a few like about 4 and got a couple from the encryptarc but 80% where all just materials right of the bat... Ok I need shards and energy but I wouldn't mind my leg sniper rifle engram to be a sniper since I need one...

I've noticed people around me getting purple engrams but not me. Not as much. Only a one every few days. Ugh... Oh well.

LIES!!! I got them on the daily! At least 2! Once I started to wear the speakers cape with the snake on it EVERYTHING turned for the better
