Don't want to be called a "gamer" anymore..
Not totally true, but from the comments I see on the forums here, youtube, twitch and various other sites, its very disheartening what gamers appear to be like now. I just read constant hate on how everything and everyone completely sucks and how much is owed to them.
Destiny has been one of the best $60 I've spent in a loooong time. It's an amazing game and if no new content is to be released or I was completely done playing this game, I'd be very happy with the time spent on it.
Just want to say thanks you to all that worked tirelessly on this game for an amazing experience. Anyone else feel like saying thanks, let it be known below or in a new post. Thanks Bungie!
Edit: This is just one opinion, we all (should) know that and was a thank you in an appropriate place for one. I don't think everyone should or does care about it.

People who constantly buy the newest CoD because it's new and are always ready to throw money at DLCs are what I hate about being a gamer these days. I don't like people who refuse to complain about their purchase because it might give them buyer's remorse. I REALLY don't like the fact that gamers apparently don't need a story to play an RPG anymore. I am baffled by the people who say Destiny is great as is. I'm scared by the people who say they don't mind the story. I always question how more transformer movies keep getting made. Well... the people who bought destiny and didn't complain are probably the reason michael bay is a popular director.

1 Respuestathis game could have 300 more hours of content ready, I/we would still eat up in a seemingly faster than possible way and be bored till new content comes out. but it still would be nice to have a little more than they gave us

I'm proud to be among what I consider gamers. I'm just a subset of very rare gamers. They're called: Actually cool and reasonable people that don't pick at every thing they don't like cause the games we play ain't be perfect gamers.

I'm totally fine with identifying myself as a gamer. It's something I enjoy doing, and I don't really care what others who know nothing about games think of it. Besides, most gamers are nothing like the douchebags writing stupid comments and hating all the time. That's just the vocal few compared to the majority of gamers who are actually playing the games instead!

4 RespuestasI'm actually cool with it. I work in the oil fields as a pumping unit mechanic, own my own house, and I I'm totally fine with identifying myself as a gamer. I mean hey, some people are in to football, Nascar, baseball, cars, or other things. Why should me spending my free time on games be a bad thing? I work hard for what I have so who's allowed to tell me what I should do? It's like I tell my coworkers; I'm a grown ass child, if I wanna play games and watch movies for hours on end, then I will dammit!

I actually find I don't want to be known as a gamer because anyone not in their 30's or below thinks i'm a gambler. But having said that I really enjoy this game and do add my thanks to bungie for a great game. I also want to thank those out here in the forums that have positive attitudes and even though they post things that criticize the game, do so to create relevant and stimulating conversations on how to improve the game.

There are so many much, much better reasons to not to want to be called a gamer these days. Negativity about a disappointing game is pretty far down the list.

I appreciate what they did but I spend 90$ on this.... Turned out to be a flop. You and I both know for all the hype this got a lot is missing or seems not to make sense.

I've been waiting for a shooter to take me away on an adventure, and Destiny delivers! This is a 10 year game and I don't care if I'm still kinda in the dark about the story. I have faith in Bungie and I'm having fun, don't get mixed up in video game politics people and just enjoy the ride :)

Demon Souls... gone to poop so they could appease the casuals.... D3 same thing... Bungie.... is already on their following suit... the loot system theyre working on, making legendaries easier to get etc... Guys, we're being classified as basement dwellers... If we dont start getting vocal....we'll be stuck playing farmville.

I think it's ok to be a gamer, but to really define what a gamer is, is still up in the air. You shouldn't be called a gamer unless you've seen level 4 of the original Donkey Kong. No patches, no DLC, no easy modes, merciless mechanics & very gratifying for completion.

But on the other hand I love Bungie and "Their" Halo series that now belongs to 343 (obviously you all know that XD) but I hate casual gamers and sometimes games get really, REALLY baddddd due to these irritating people who want to shove their opinions down other peoples throats. Which pisses me off quite a bit... For example: Sonic use to be a game I could enjoy and now Sega are doing what their so called "fan-base" want which is turning it progressively into an even bigger pile of crap XD but these casuals need to give Bungie a chance to show what they have to offer with Destiny instead of rejecting it like 5 days after realease, its just pathetic (they probably think making a game is as easy as pissing in a toilet) I remember playing on my Sega Dreamcast, PS1, GameCube and all that even though I'm only 17 I love old games like that but just to sum it up: give them a chance you stupid -blam!-ing casuals and don't bitch about a good game and expect everyone to go "Yeaaaah, Destiny is a pile of poo and everything sucks about it" hahaha, you make me laugh as that isn't true. Go and play with your casutroll friends on whatever it is you play... Sorry about the long comment XD been keeping it all bottled up, jokes.
