Personally i think destiny would of been a 10x better game even though it might have been xbox exclusive
activision is the main reason destiny is failing, i think if it was bungie fully responsible for everything about the game, the game also could of came out 10x better
cliffs: activision is the reason destiny has failed
edit: also yes i know bungie wanted freedom from the ohhh soo controlling microsoft, but now it looks like they are controlled by activison for the next 10years or aslong as they stick with destiny

Destiny is not failing by any means. It made money, will continue to make it and still has a strong player base

1 RespuestaBungie would still be making halo...
-
Xbox master race!

7 RespuestasWhat evidence do you have that Activision is to blame? Besides conspiracy theories, guesses, and other types of unsubstantiated gossip? What makes you think MS would have been different?
-
Destiny wouldn't even exist if Bungie stayed with Microsoft, they only wanted more Halo which is why they were happy to buy the IP and have 343i make the games.
-
Actually I think it would have been the same game, it just would have been called "Halo" and would therefor disappoint me even more.
-
You woulda had Halo, and more Halo. That's about it.
-
There would be no destiny they would still be making halo

2 RespuestasMicrosoft would've done the same thing...they made a lot of money on the game and took some things to give back to you for $30...if you think about it that's a shit ton of money coming in
especially with ppl wanting to make the game more full filling
in the end " a 500 million dollar game better make big ass profits" Games are costing more to make and their trying the keep the price at $60...they only way to make decent profits (in Activision's eyes) is to very sneakily make the game cost around $150 bucks $60 game $30 first major dlc $30 second major dlc $15 mini lame dlc $15 mini lame dlc So many ppl will buy these and then profits will hopefully please Activision (Microsoft too) They all want the most money to make more and better things to make even bigger profits :) or Nah...I could just be completely wrong soooo ya Just get used to it guys...the only games that will not do this are going to be the low budget ones that are still trying to make a name for themselves... I don't speak for all the devs ...I've taken a liking to the no mans sky devs And Bethesda :)

This is Sonys fault. They wanted this game exclusively to there system they payed a huge amount for it. Now add in Activision and you have this huge mess. Sure MicroSoft is controlling but clearly there control has let games be more fully realized in there potential. However this is not true for all games but when it rings true those games are top notch. Halo is a prim example and let's not forget Mass Effect that was Microsoft exclusive then Sony fanboys cried and cried they got it and anyone remember Mass Effect 3? All I can say is I wish Microsoft had a hand in this game could of been better.

I think Bungie should have signed with...... Bungie...... It would confuse everyone.
-
15 RespuestasBungie shouldve signed with ea

The evidence for your claims....so invigorating!

1 RespuestaIt wouldn't have just been better if it was an xbox exclusive. That's not how things work. Halo 1 & 2 weren't exclusives, and they were frigging great.

1 RespuestaEditado por Kekyoin's Underwater Donut: 9/28/2014 10:13:36 AMLet's look at how much pull a publisher can have on a developer company, shall we? Also a look at how the consoles work a bit. Just to clear some things up... A Developer (in this case Bungie) makes the game and puts it together. The publisher (Activision) provides the funds and a contract asking for all the things they want to see in the game. They also handle all of the business sides of the game, such as procuring shares and other things. The publisher (Activision) probably asked for too much from Bungie in the short time they already had and they had to rush the game a bit. Not to mention this is a cross-gen, cross-platform game we're talking about here. Splitting up a single game between 4 different machines can put some strain on their ability to add content as their putting the last-gen consoles into account. The last-gen consoles (PS3 and Xbox 360) can't handle next gen graphics and data storage (due to weaker, dated processing and power output) so they have to compromise a bit. Not to even mention Bungie's amazing ability of making this 40 fps. That is an incredible feat for a cross-gen game! It looks lackluster simply because the last gen is holding it back. We can probably expect a MUCH needed update in the sequel when they will give it a complete overhaul and make it completely for next gen. Unless that's not in Bungie's plan for the game of course...

I think the game would have been better as a XBone/PS4 exclusive like initially planned.... But its all opinion....

12 RespuestasActivision may be terrible, but we don't know this atrocity was their fault. Bungie isn't the same company it was years ago, and there's no reason to let them off the hook until we have some evidence that all this really wasn't their doing.

6 RespuestasI'm curious to know what changes Activision influenced in Destiny?
-
2 Respuestasindeed microsoft = lesser of two evils they did just fine with Reach/3/ODST Destiny would have turned out like the first "gameplay" demo at E3 2013 if they stuck with microsoft
-
3 RespuestasWho wins in a fight, Silver Surfer or The Hulk?

Microsoft pissed bungie off by trying to tell them how to make halo. Either one activision and Microsoft they both suck because they put too much influence into the devs. They just try to make the most money out of the game.
-
1 RespuestaMicrosoft are over demanding arseholes. The fact that their final halo games weren't up to the standard before tells me bungie just wanted done with it.
-
Well I think we all know it wasn't Bungie's plan to have two disk locked DLC's that are already made at the game's release, that sounds like Activison allllll over it.
-
You are aware why Bungie left Microsoft right
-
I completely agree, the game feels like an empty shell for sure, with a whole lot of upside (paid expansion) lol.
