I find it unhelpful that damage and such is scaled down according to Mission level. What's the point of having Legendary Gear and Weapons if you scale it down? How can I feel like a Badass Legend when I'm doing meager damage to a level 8 lol. I get that it keeps it challenging, but obtaining my high level gear feels lack luster.

2 RespuestasWe still dish out great damage, it would be pretty boring if everything died from our massive aura's.

3 RespuestasIts because they have no high level open world content, just the four starter zones that you zoom through in the first 10 hours. So they scale you down instead. It would be nice if there was part of the world guarded by bad-ass monsters, like in the Beta where we imagined that the "??" level monsters guarded secrets not meant for mere newbies.

5 RespuestasI am level 27, full legendary armor, rare primary, legend secondary and heavy, as well as exotic heavy. I got my ass handed to me by a level 2 dreg, cause it was behind me and I was helping a friend on his brand new character. Yet I take 10 head on blast from a lvl 26 setpiks prime (Devils lair) before I have to step behind cover.

36 RespuestasEditado por v Noxx v: 9/25/2014 5:14:17 PMThe scale down is to allow a high level player to play alongside friends that may have just created a character. So you play the game with them and not simply rush them through all of the content. Frankly, I like it. Makes any part of the game interesting and engaging, regardless of your gear.

2 RespuestasScaling damage will keep "power creep" minimal in destiny. Many MMOs suffer from power creep after some years, so in the long run we might be happy about it. But i agree its kind of annoying not to stomp low lvl stuff into the ground :)

1 RespuestaI agree. I was running patrol missions and had to kill the walker on Earth. Full upgraded gear, few legendarys , exotic gaunt, and I almost get taken out by one lvl 5 captain meleeing me once o.O and yet if the situation was reversed I'd be unable to damage him at all.

We spent hours and hours ranking up and finding and upgrading gear for a reason. Nuf said. Quit nerfing my shit

1 RespuestaI Agree, there is a reason why i want to rank up !!!!! So i feel you know POWERFUL, i don't want to be level 28 and get my ass handed to me by a group of fallen that are LEVEL 9's ITS BULL. BUNGIE PLEASE STOP THE DOWN SCALING !!!!!!!!!!!

1 RespuestaAgreed. Made a post about this not long ago what's the point of leveling if I do the same damage to most enemies
-
2 RespuestasOutgoing damage is only scaled down to a point. Chances are you're going to be blowing low level enemies away when decked out in high quality lv20 gear. Low level enemies also do significantly less damage to you when in high level armor, so you'll practically be a juggernaut in low level areas. I remember when I was still leveling my titan; low level enemies were not pushovers like they are now. If I'm going up against anything below lv24, combat isn't going to be terribly difficult for me.

1 RespuestaWhy can't oneshot melee a level two vandal!? Explain yourself bungie!

2 RespuestasI got caught in the middle of a Hive vs Fallen event where they just unload ten kinds of Hell on the area. At first it's not so bad but after a couple minutes every enemy that spawns is Hallowed or Revered. I'm level 28 and all my weapons are Legendary. It was taking 2-3 clips to down one single enemy. Normally I don't mind grinding for a kill but when there's 15-20 enemies all of equal strength and health shooting at you 2-3 clips is insane. Even more ridiculous is that there's still some level 3-5 enemies in the Cosmodrome that won't die unless I get a crit hit with the Epitaph, a Legendary sniper, that's almost fully upgraded.

6 RespuestasAgreed, I should be 1 shot killing level 2 Vandals on Earth with my Legendary Pulse if I hit them in the toe. My weapons don't level up when I face Ultras or Majors in a Heroic Strike.
