While we're dissing the PVP...
Hunters are OP in PVP with their double jump being, essentially a teleport. Titans and Warlocks have to slowly rise with Lift and Glide respectively, but hunters can just teleport. Their grenades do more damage. Also, both hunter supers make them less vulnerable while simultaneously letting them do more damage.
Level Advantage is supposed to be disabled, but it's not. True, a level 20 doesn't have more health than a level 2, but the Legendary gear is still an advantage.
The shotgun is suppose to kill in one hit at close range, so please tell me why after shooting some -blam!-er in the face, twice, all he has to do is punch me once and I die.
The motion tracker is crap.
The announcer is annoying as -blam!-.
Having the highest K/D spread and most captures still doesn't guarantee a prize.
Half of the maps are perfect for camping bitches. The other half just suck in general.
Friendly fire needs to be on. It would cut down on rocket spam and would stop teammates from stepping in front of you to steal the kill. Yes, they do that.
You can't communicate with your teammates unless you put them into your fireteam.
If I wanted to party up with all 11 other players, I would do so myself. I hate having to leave and rejoin matchmaking in order to avoid my POS teammates.
Lastly, the PVP feels like I'm playing CoD, but in the future. If I wanted to play CoD, I would play CoD.
edit: Looking at my replies, all I see is Bungie fanboys who get their rocks off from the pretty pictures on their TV screen. People who know nothing about balanced video games.

People QQing about hunters in PvP crack me up, while Titans and Warlocks clearly have their own "OPness" themselves. Everyone should just accept that the multiplayer is broken and sucks. It's a shame when a bounty makes you play PvP, like I had to for the thorn. Got the bounty today, completed it relatively quickly thankfully but still sucked to have to deal with PvP because there's so many aspects of it that I hate. Must there be SO many ways to OHK people, and not only is that bad but also when considering that there's a radar that will track you at all times unless your sitting still so flanking is impossible? Meh.. I had high hopes for the PvP portion of this game because that's usually the aspect of shooters that I find myself into the most, but it's too broken to be enjoyable.

the hunters grenades arent as AoE as the titans or warlocks, both those classes can take out a whole team with one super. the titan gets a shield for basically anything they do (defender class) and the warlock has self res (sun). Hunters are very possible to kill when they activate their super (aim for the head) I am a hunter so i may be a little bias. However, they ALL have their perks in PvP i dont feel any class is more OP than the next. If anything the shotguns and fusion rifles are OP
-
Hunters are OP in PVP with their double jump being, essentially a teleport.
These are blade dancer hunters that have blink. Also Void Walker Warlocks also get blink. It is for these two sublcasses only.
-
I'm a hunter and personally, I hate Titans. Every time me and three other people are capping an objective, bam! A Titan does a freaking groundsmash and everyone dies. Even if we see him coming and we are able to kill him as he's rising to do it, the groundsmash still occurs after his death and we still die. NONE OF THE CLASSES ARE BALANCED.
-
No, the titans super does not occurs after death if titan dies mid air before the groundsmash hits the ground, i know it becuase i died many times mid air while using the groundsmash super and groundsmash didn't kill anyone.
-
wait... if all of the classes are OP, then doesn't that mean that they ARE balanced?
-
That's actually pretty terrible logic, if all classes are OP then MP is simply not enjoyable and not worth ever considering truly "competitive".
-
They are all OP in some way, but to the point to where the others are at a disadvantage in all other aspects. For example: a hunter blade dancer is good for CQC, but not wide open combat. A Titan is great at both. Who's at the disadvantage in this fight? The hunter.
-
Editado por Kazz0ng: 9/26/2014 6:22:07 AMI disagree. the bladedancer is much faster than a titan can ever hope to be, and can actually be specced to have an infinite super, and infinitely invisible. so... I see no disadvantage here.
-
Bladedancer doesn't have infinite anything
-
this build can have an indefinitely long super, and be invisible while using it, when used properly. http://destinydb.com/calculator/talents#1.MMrhtZV8jU708jP708jy708jX708jD708jt708j4708jl708nz708jE708jS7
-
In theory, but no one can use it effectively. By the time you've done anything with it and you've killed the 3 or 4 people near you, they have all respawned at a distance and you're already dead. It's not infinite because you'd need all perfect settings to be able to apply it and multiplayer will not supply such settings.
-
again, I disagree. I think that it is possible for a player to fully utilize this setup, but the game is so new that people have not learned how yet. I have seen a few blade dancers just destroy whole teams at a time. one player, or two players, or even 3 v 1. the speed and stealth is so powerful. but the point was that each class has (in its own way) an extremely powerful build in its own right. really not putting them at a disadvantage at any range unless they get surprised/ snuck up on.
Friendly fire needs to be on.
DEAR LORD NO!!! there is already ENOUGH attempted griefing in this game.....watching as i go past on missions at the morons dancing in the treasure cave.....trying to blast others when "OMFG THAT WAS MY KILL" FF on is the last thing we need right now, there is already enough teenage angst out there later,,,maybe after the "next great thing" is released...and the kids move on and leave Destiny to the actual PLAYERS it could be a good thing but right now it would be quite possibly the end of the game because the whiners would use FF to whinge even more than the do on the forums now

On PVP not PVE.
-
Lastly, the PVP feels like I'm playing CoD, but in the future. If I wanted to play CoD, I would play CoD. How? do you have to get a kill streak to use you special? Nope. Is there a horrible hardcore mode that lets you team kill? Nope. Are there cry babies whining because oooo this is OP and that is OP and hunters are just mean and super OP, and Warlocks can self revive, unfair waa waaa, and Titans do AOE damage and they don't have to think tactically and blah blah blah! yes, yes there are many of those. Seriously the game is not heavily focused on PVP it just says hey you can PVE all freakin day, but if you want some of this better stuff, you're gonna have to get your hands dirty. The end

Firstly, I advise you to read all of the other threads regarding Hunters and whether they are OP, either on this forum or Reddit or whatever. For the jump, it's really just Titans who have to rise slowly, Warlocks can boost upwards if you double tap the jump button, or just use Blink. And if you're playing a Titan, do you really expect to move places fast? The shotgun is inconsistent but fine. If you're within a metre or two it's likely you'll put them on minimum health, then you can finish the off with a punch. Outside of that range you'll do almost no damage, making it balanced - it takes skill to use them properly. I would also advise you to read the other threads on doing well not yielding better rewards. Such a system would further increase the skill/gear gap that you mentioned yourself. The good would get better and the bad worse. Why is the motion tracker bad? Would you prefer to have the enemy's exact location as a blip on your map? Not going to happen with the size of Destiny's maps. Also how does it feel like CoD when headshots are so important and the game revolves so much more around aspects like melee and abilities?

Hunters do have double jump. It is not as effective as lift or glide in terms of aiming down sights. They also have a teleport. Warlocks also have this teleport. Sounds like you're having a hard time countering teleport. However, it's not unique to one class. Legendary gear offers an advantage through upgrades (which are also present on uncommon and rare items). These upgrades are situational, and not necessarily beneficial to PvP. Legendary gear will not make you do more damage or take less damage. If someone is beating you because of a situational bonus effect then they probably would have beaten you without it. Some people have network issues creating latency in their pvp experience. Perhaps this is part of the issue? When I hit someone with a shotgun, they die. You'll have to elaborate on the motion tracker. Mine seems to work properly. Sorry you don't like one aesthetic component of the game. Nothing guarantees rewards. However, if you play even a little bit of PvP, you will earn rewards. Bungie is widely accepted as one of the best map designers in the genre. You may not prefer them, but they are objectively good maps. If you're being camped or sniped, it's probably your skill level and familiarity. I agree there should be better support for voice communication. This is a fundamental issue with the general design of all online, competitive games rather than a critique of this particular game. To say "if I wanted to play COD, I would play CoD" is the same as saying "If I didn't want to play CoD, I wouldn't play CoD". If your statement were true, why are you playing?

Editado por Kraft04: 9/25/2014 12:02:53 PMI think the problem with the radar is previous Halo games it was considered a motion tracker and you could get around being spotted on it by crouch walking. This comes in handy when playing objective game modes like control or CTF so you don't have someone waiting for you around every corner. This game seems to be an actual radar I can see any movement and have even blipped inactive players on edge of map not playing or moving. There is no way to ambush a team that is heavily guarding an area when they always know you are coming. Only time I've ever noticed someone disappear from radar is when using an invisibility perk from either a gun or blade dancer class. Which again as soon as you move you reappear.

Warlocks also get blink, but I agree with everything else. Except shotguns. You should not be guaranteed a OSKO
